I love this song , this video. Made me treasure Thom that much more that he totally went with the choreography - even if the beige would think it uncool. Or whatever. I just recall reading comments from pseudo-fans saying as much. Thanks !

It's wild but that entire dance was actually choreographed by a man named Wayne McGregor. It looks completely spontaneous and improvised but it was Thom following the choreography. He also choreographed another Thom Yorke video with Ingenue by Atoms For Peace

Weirdly enough this is the song that got me into Radiohead. They used to play it on the radio back in the day, and I heard it maybe 5 times before I finally realized there was something different and almost magical about this song, so I started down the rabbit hole.

Bruhhhhh..... I died when you talked about his eyes. But that's because this is my favorite band. Mf was born with no eye lid on one eye. He had one skin graphed on as a baby. He also doesn't drink or do drugs. He's known for going to a local bookclub after his shows. Dudes just weird haha. And he can sing my guy. Keep listening to their stuff. You can pick any random song off In Rainbows album and you'll like it.

Yes, In Rainbows has Nude, if you want to know how good Thom's falsetto is, then Nude is the reference song for that in my opinion.

Visual and auditory candy - Thom daces like this at all Radiohead shows, despite being a rock band (though putting Radiohead in that box is not remotely accurate really) his favorite music is Electronica and he's been known to DJ EMD clubs and they elevated from savior of Rock in late 90's to - for some as music is subjective - to greatest act on Earth 30 years still together w/original 5 man line-up, kinda unheard of - by integrating electronic elements into their music. Watching a vid of Thom playing "Lotus Flower" solo acoustic brings out what a powerfully beautiful song this is but the final album version in this clip and super fun video are great as well. I'd check out "Burn the Witch" for another great combo of song and captivating video.

Thom has Rhythm for sure, given he's the rhythm guitarist for many of their songs, so it makes sense he can make a dance out of doing anything at all.

This was fun to watch you get genuinely transfixed by this song and dance! Thom Yorke is truly an amazing singer, a great/unique dancer, a phenomenal songwriter, and oddly probably our time's preeminent silent film actor; and no he probably wasn't "really high" in this 😂, his eye is like that due to a childhood defect and several surgeries in his early life, the last of which was botched, giving him the drooping eye which he decided to stop trying to fix and just adopt as part of who he was. For more Thom dancing, the 2019 "ANIMA" short film is amazingly choreographed.

Well I think it’s a good album with no bad songs on it. Did they get better? Yes. Would they have been as successful if they stayed in that musical space? Doubtful. Does it make those songs bad? No. But of course this is personal opinion. I was airing mine, you have yours. :-)

Live versions of this song have a lot more punch to it... much more robust and distorted bass from the bass guitar and synth (yes, they play this song with both).

'Lotus Flower' is a gem. I love the poetry. U should check out Thom Yorke's solo stuff like 'The Eraser' I think you'd like that also his other band Atoms for Peace, their pretty good too n of course all of Radiohead's albums which are amazing!

Thom is just one with the music, he can’t help the weird things his body does 😂 but he really is one of the most talented artists out there, Radiohead’s discography speaks for itself. doesn’t disappoint.

Thom Yorke is an odd fella. Brilliant, but odd. “Myxomatosis” and “Wolf at the Door” are great performances. Thom feels his music deeply. I saw them at least four times (possibly five, but I’m not sure). 💜💜💜
