Radiohead is truly amazing. If you get bored of playing all their albums on repeat I recommend you listen to the tool, lorn, tame impala, and alt-j, although Radiohead is of course, exceptional and different in a way from all of them. And also don't just talk about Thom. He's great but I hate when only frontmen are considered the best

It's in my top 5 faves too. But I saw them do Holy Roman Empire live and it took my breath away. It was just Thom on piano in the dark until the refrain and then the rest of the band came in for the build up. They jammed out on that for like 5 minutes too.

I remember hearing about this the day it would be streamed live, New Year's Eve. I just happened to catch it right as it started and I watched it from start to finish like I was in a trance. It was something special; something for the shut-ins, the people without any plans. I appreciated the hell out of it and it's one of my best New Year's memories despite the fact that I sat at home and basically did nothing other than watching this as it happened.

That is Exactly what you want in a drummer, all business, and a tight beat, you don't need a huge kit to play it on, just play it right, and bring it like a workingman. I sense some jazz influence in his drumming for some reason, it just has that type of sparse perfection, even in rock songs, such versatility.

Thom has such an iconic tenor voice. But when he came in on jigsaw falling into place his baritone sound blew me away. Its great that he uses his low register so sparingly that it always sounds striking when it happens, but I'd love to hear him come out with some new songs that incorporate his lower voice more.

I wish I can go back to 2008 and feel the experience of the album In Rainbows all over again. Even though the album was released in 2007, it was gifted to me as part of a graduation present. My sister didn’t know what to get me for graduation gifts. She saw this album in Hastings (yes, when Hastings was alive) and just had this suspicious feeling I’m going to really like this album. So, while just freshly graduated and starting my summer into the real world, I listened to the album. Start to finish. It became the album of my summer. Never stopped listening to it. I thank my sister so much for getting me this album.

What scotch mist is their scotch mist? Scotch Mist is: A Lancashire/Yorkshire idiom meaning something that does not exist or is worthless e.g. "What do you want? Scotch Mist?" An idiom which in the United Kingdom means a cold and penetrating mist that verges on rain. In the United Kingdom an idiom meaning something that is hard to find or doesn't exist (something imagined). Scottish term given to a persistent drizzle with poor visibility, especially on moors and out at sea (also called smirr), which poses risks of hypothermia to walkers, and of navigation and collision danger to sailors. Humorously, to refer to drunken confusion. The name of episode 5 of the 2004 Channel 4 series Garth Marenghi's Darkplace The name of a webcast of a private concert by UK band Radiohead, streamed by Current TV on 31st December 2007. A drink with 2oz of Scotch Whisky, ice and a lemon peel. Appeared in 1946 movie The Big Sleep with Humphrey Bogart and the 2013 movie Saving Mr. Banks. /wikipedia

We surely are and have gone through a rough patch in human existence, not everything is going alright that's why Videotape is so meaningful to me then and now, tough times indeed but we have to pull through together or alone, fighting the good fight, and never giving up. ( "I won't turn round when the penny drops, won't stop now won't slack off, or all this love, would been in vain"- The Present tense.)

Why is it that every Radiohead YT upload there are always people commenting "I liked Radiohead when they played XVK but I'm not getting into this one ZIP...maybe they'll come to their senses and go "back," to when they were "great?" First and foremost Radiohead is like most living organisms, constantly changing, shifting, evolving, growing into different forms, which is why Radiohead is Radiohead, not Keane, Coldplay, The Fray, One Republic or some other alt rock band...I'm pretty sure I'd love it if Radiohead threw down an R&B record. Why? Because they're Radiohead, capable of doing "anything," at any time, anywhere......

I knew OF Radiohead since Creep and Fake Plastic Trees. I was baptized INTO Radiohead in 1998 with Subterranean Homesick Alien and Paranoid Android. I sit on 23 years of memories and all of them, both good and bad, include this group. I was born and raised in a culturally homogenous location in southwest Missouri, USA, and I have never fit. I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo. What the hell am I doing here? I have lived here my entire life and I have yet to encounter another die hard fan of Radiohead. I know, woe is me, right? That's not really the point. You see, Radiohead showed me one thing. That there are others out there. That I am not alone. Thom's lyrics have always transcended culture and time and connected us right at the heart of our experience. As the band has grown older, their sound, their style, their words have continued to connect with me. They even seem immersed in the same range of experience as I! Their lyrical expression is like an abstract painting. When I step back from it and look at it from a distance, I see my reflection. I swear the first time I heard Thom utter the words, "Throw your keys in the bowl, kiss your husband good night. Forget about your house of cards, and I'll do mine..." I literally wept. I fell off the table and got swept under. All I have to say to Radiohead, is thank you. Thank you for giving me hope that I am not alone, that I am somehow connected to all the other homesick aliens out there. Your music is both an anthem and the vehicle for our connection. Thank you. Don't ever stop. Not even for piss centered foam parties in the pub toilets.
