During compass calibration, both Mag 1 and Mag 2 are being calibrated or just Mag 1? Because when I did compass calibration only Mag 1 was being calibrated.

Does the GPS pick up inside ? My DJI GPS's don't work but I have a metal heavy R panel roof , that could be why . Or is that just for the compass and not the GPS ? I don't know much about the Pixhawk I have mine now but still studing before I use it .

I just ordered the Radiolink AT10 and the Radiolink Pixhawk flight controller I see you just posted this video . How easy was it to setup and how does it fly ? I will be using it on a custom build about 800mm . With 5208/360kv motors and 40A. Hobbywing esc's . I had it flying just fine till the Naza went nuts and slammed into my tractor at full speed . I bout this RL Pix because I'm sick of Naza problems . Is the Radiolink Pix different from regular 3D Robotics Pix ?

Hey there, As you can see in the video, I never had this going properly cause it would not boot up with the battery, only via usb. Have been trying to get the seller to help fix it but no response, so contacted Radiolink aftersales and they helped kind of. Had to reflash the bootloader to get it working with the battery. So works now but haven't had it flying yet cause waiting for another pixhawk 2.4.8 generic version(cheaper). They are fairly easy to setup but haven't flown it yet. They will be exactly the same as the 3D robotics ones just less support. But I believe 3D robotics no longer make or sell it.

Patrick Yung I haven't done anything with mine I got it but rebuilding everything and having to rethink everything using leftover parts from my Tarot frame and some aluminum square tubing I ordered from hobbyking .I have been waiting for Radiolink to finish their download for the pixhawk but still says they are updating . I ordered it on the 5th and was the first time I looked at their site and it has been updating till now starting to think Radiolink may be a mistake . Got the AT10 radio and it had a bad cursor button . Give me a update if you get it up and running and I'll do the same . Thanks and good luck . Did you get all your download software from the Mission Planner page ?

I think I have mine all set and going now. Just waiting to take it to the field. Yes, everything downloaded fine. Most of the information you need is on the ardupilot.org website. Yes, I downloaded the firmware from mission planner and uploaded it to the pixhawk. I found that Q Ground Control has a much nice layout and GUI than mission planner and has the same functions. you should try that. I had to ask Radiolink after sales 3 times to get a response. and only threaten them with spreading bad stuff about their products. But yes, I don't think they are the best quality BUT you do get what you pay for.

Most of the DJI stuff I have is OK but the company stinks their service is useless , I know more about their products than they do . I had 3 bad crashes with the Naza M lite just going nuts and flipping over and smashing my 785mm quad I'm finished with them and the Naza M V2 I payed $300 for ain't much better I can't even guess how many times I have calibrated both and they still drift all over the place even my Phantom does the same . I have the same Pix as you but the people with APM once they get it right say never Naza again . I'll look Q up and take a look . If you would keep me up on what you run into along the way . Thanks to naza my big bird has cost me about double what it should I'd like to get close on the first try this time lol . Thanks for the advice I can use all I can get .

I just received a radiolink pixhawk I ordered from amazon. My initial setup looks identical to yours and I am experiencing the same problem: boot failure when powering up from battery connected at power connection or servo rail. Boots fine with battery power at usb port. And once booted will run fine on battery alone (usb cable disconnected). Did you find a solution? I'm thinking about making a jumper cable to supply 5v to the usb. Otherwise everything seems to function ok.

Yes, Have fixed the problem, you need to reload the FMU bootloader onto the unit. here is a link pixhawk.org/dev/bootloader_update Let me know if you have fixed it, then we all know this is the common problem. It may not be as straight forward as described, it is a little fickle sometimes.

Thanks Patrick! I'll give it a try

Well you were right! It wasn't as straightforward as is sounds at all, but I finally managed to get the new bootloader on the board and it fired right up! Thanks again Patrick!
