i can't remember well what she said, and I'm too lazy to re-watch the video, but I remember that she mentioned that hyperpop is not a genre, it is more of a community. she said that the reason why the hyperpop songs have so many genres is that spotify always recommend songs based on an algorithm that places people in groups, like pockets where music is deposited regardless their genre, but rather of how likely you are to like that as a hyperpop fan. so it became a community with a specific palette of sounds, very different from one another, but it sets like a foundation to what a hyperpop song might be. i know it still is a little tangled up and messy, but I think that's the best way I can put that out there.@@giovanniseck
