I've talked a lot about how amazing radiology is ( because it is!) but it is not without its cons. I'll be discussing some of those in this video. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks for watching :)

Thank you for your informative videos. How many patients are you reporting for a day? I know it depends, I'm a radiologist too but maybe you can give a rough number.

Great video again! Big fan of your content. What can I do at med school to get into radiology training?

Honestly, med school is tough enough so I'd focus on that. There's plenty of time in F1 and F2 to work on your CV for radiology. If you really wanted to, perhaps some work experience or elective period spent in the department.

Thank you for sharing.. I really want to know that do you have to work alone in a room, in front of the computers always? I mean is there any colleague to work usually with?

Hi, a good proportion of a radiologist's workload involves being in front of a computer ( reporting, MDT prep etc) but there is no requirement to do it in isolation. Whether or not you have an office to yourself, share with someone, or work out of a hub with lots of reporting stations varies from department to department and is usually dictated by how much space is available.

Hi,have 2 questions regarding radiology. 1)Is plab mandatory for a IMG to apply for FRCR exam? 2) Minimum 24 months of training is required in radiology to seat for FRCR 2A!! Is post graduation training(Md) from India/Pakistan/Bangladesh is acknowledged in UK? In a short, can a Radiologist from these countries can apply for FRCR? Or the only pathway for FRCR is to do plab, F2A job, enter into post graduation training in radiology in uk, and then finally seat for FRCR? It would be very helpful if u ans me...

I already committed to radiology but I think I'm going to hate the routine.

Don't knock it till you've tried it. But if you truly find that you hate it, then I wouldn't stick it out just for the sake of it.

All doctors of the same grade make the same regardless of specialty in the NHS. Have a quick look on thr BMA website.

I heard radiologists are more exposed to radiation which might later cause problems for them, how true is that ? And if you don’t wear your protective aprons well, you begin to have malignancies..basically the radiology specialty is full of dealing with radiations

Hi this is a great question. Short answer is not necessarily. I'll do a detailed video on this shortly. Thank you for watching😊

Well if your wearing lead protection and the other PPE necessary to carry out interventional procedures.......they why would you get malignancies.....? Radiation is all around us sleeping next to someone at night is like having a Chet's x-ray. Think about that
