i do not know how old you are and do not want to make you leak your personal informations, but even if you are like 30 years old, you can start learning and if you practice enough, u can become like him in a few years. Of course that depends on your determination, if you are determined and practice like 4 hours every day, you can become like him in about 2-3 years, if you practice just 10 minutes every day, it will take a bit slow, but you can achieve it. even 10 minutes can get you good enough, if you practice the right way

Weathering With You/ Tenki no naka has more cheerful and goosebumps attached to the song. This song literally made me clapped on the ending scene of the film. Your Name/Kimi no nawa has best songs so far. Like Sparkle it gave me goosebumps and sadness and happiness at the same time. Makoto Shinkai did a very outstanding job at both films. I hope there will be an another one. Makoto Shinkai really knows how to make the audience smile or get emotions throughout the film. I have great respect for Makoto Shinkai

Halcyon is a beast, I don’t know how he memorized stuff so fast, I play piano but only learn like 1 piece a month, whereas Halcyon learns at least 1 a week, and twice the length. Stay at it though, and honestly piano is so much practice and not much inherent skill

A good way to memorize this piece is to just split it into Left Hand and Right Hand. During the chorus, the left hand is just an A,F,C,G 2 octave pattern. Then all u need to focus on is the right hand and work your way from there!

There are lots of ways, but the method I usually do that works for me is focusing on small bits at a time, like memorizing 5 seconds or so at a time and practicing the entirety of what you’ve learned thus far over and over until you can still remember after varying periods of time and after playing other songs you know.
