2 ай бұрын14th June 2023 saw the RAF C-130 Hercules aircraft make their final farewell flight, real shame to see this reliable workhorse retire from RAF service.

I've been up in a C130 as an air scout in the 1980's. I remember they opened the rear door whilst in flight. An experience I have never forgotten 🙂

Why are they getting rid of this aircraft its been a wonderful beautiful aircraft and its done everything it was supposed to do no no way should they get rid of this wonderful aircraft no way.

Hercules look so much better than Globemasters. Was great to see the 3 of them together. Some good footage of them at the Mach Loop last year too (Gary Gough's & Dafydd Phillips' channels). Thanks Bob.

All to save money. S.A.S. really do not want them to go. No-one is truly happy with the Airbus A400M Atlas. If the UK, does get more defence funding, they should buy 13 brand new Lockheed C-130J-30 Super Hercules, upgraded to the MC-130J Commando 2, specifications for a reformed 47 Squadron of the RAF.
