@@julianshepherd2038 No it's about the contempt many in that place have against Scotland and its elected representatives. England should get a taste of its own medicine. Westminster parliament should be closed down with each of the home nations getting a turn of holding the UK parliament. I would love to see the reaction of the English people if they were given the political system favouring Scotland instead of England. Lets see how Scotland having 590 MP's and England only getting 49would do for staters with Scotland deciding how funding would be allocated. England could of course have its own "Regional" Devolved parliament to allocate England's share of the money Scotland allows them to have, of course if England wanted full independence it would have to ask the Scottish UK parliament for a section 30 which Scotland will declare "That now is not be the time." and of course Scotland would decide whether the UK re-joined the E.U. with English views and input completely ignored.

Whole thing is a sham and has nothing to do with integrity or human rights - all to do with dirty political point scoring. Scotland united with England in 1603 when a Scot (James I of England & VI of Scotland) became ruler of England, Wales and Ireland and rapidly started to plant Ulster with protestant Scots. Since the since the Parliaments united a lot of Scots more Scots such as Lord Bute, Hume, MacMillan, Gordon Brown etc have been Prime Minister than their percentage of the total population. Doesn’t this just sum up the utter CONTEMPT that Westminster has fir Scotland and the Scottish people. I’ve been saying for a long time that no Independence MP can achieve anything in Westminster, other than to make jokes at Tory and Labour expense. All Independence MP’s should be recalled and seats not taken up. Insanity is doing same things over and expecting a different outcome

Regardless of who we vote for and what we want and what we get is not what the British people really want anymore , our Political system is unrepairable, we really want a new party that will put right what is wrong with this country.

Even if the scots won a referendum they would not let them go , Example Donetsk and Crimea won there referendums for breaking away from Ukraine in which the UK deep state opposes and that is foreign countries over seas , so no they would not let scots have there free will

@@MSalt69 You can't call a vote to remain in the UK which remains part of the EU and single market, and still firmly upholds its commitment to the European Court of Human Rights generational if, just ten years later, the UK is out of two of those three things, and making grumblings about doing away with the third. Fundamental aspects of UK governance have changed since the vote in 2014, all of which are things Scotland consistently polls as supporting. The thing about maintaining a Union, Cheery Chops, is that the interests of all members have to at least be paid a passing notion.

Whilst procedure should always be followed and every party given its say, why would Parliament waste time voting on something that holds no value to anyone and has no effect other than to virtue signal?
@stuartbailey92873 ай бұрын
Because it was a SNP opposition day and they decided to waste Parliaments time and as a added bonus try and split the Labour Party. All in all from the point of view of allowing the SNP to posture and sulk about "Scotland being ignored" think it was a great opposition day for them.
