D Whoop people don't want the truth these days. Blacks in particular. We would rather party and bullshit and try to forget about the issues at ✋. It's the same reason why artist like Common will only sell but so many units, while Migos go platinum. I'm not saying Common or any artist like him hasn't been successful. And I'm not saying that I too don't listen to other types of music. (Not really Migos but they got a couple songs I like). But u can see the difference in popularity. Jay Z said in an old verse he use rapped like Common Sense. Did low numbers and ain't rapped like Common sense. Or the other rhyme where he said truthfully he be like Talib Kweli. But he knew what would sell. Thankfully he's come around and realized that he is so accepted and has a big enough platform to where he can say what he wants and put more messages in the music. Regardless whether he always did or not, I tip my hat to him. Cuz he didn't have to. He's rich enough to where he could be like Michael Jordan and not give two shits about the black community. But he has shown that he does. I'm proud of him for that.
