It's the first weekend without football so we had to drop something to close out the season and what better way than to do a show from the home of the Super Bowl Champion LA Rams!
Defensive Coordinator Raheem Morris fresh off the Super Bowl parade sits down with Ryan, Channing and Fred for a celebratory conversation and look into the Rams comeback win against the Bengals.

I would love if the pivot did 3 specials where each of the host is the special guest along with another guest host for the episode who was a important feature/influence in their career at the time. So Ryan, Fred and Channing get an episode each where they get their flowers and their career, highlights, escapades, and legacies are the topic of discussion. 🥰

Raheem Morris in the most strategic elegant mannerism told them, "you got me fucked up. I'm not messing up my bread to justify your perspective." I enjoyed the interview, but Raheem is no fool. He's still working for the NFL...he's not retired like these cats. He isn't allowed to genuinely speak his thoughts at the moment. Overall, amazing interview.

I think he basically said, but indirectly, "yes there's an issue with owners having bias with hiring head coaches and that needs to be addressed BUT at the same time, we can't act like the guys who did get the jobs are all bad coaches, they worked hard for this too. Respect to all the coaches, but there's an issue with owner biases for sure"

When he said look I am white. There’s nothing else you can say after that. That means he’s not going to ruin his wealth for a black cause. Which he has every right to feel that way. I may disagree but I’m not him. He has to live with his decision. I personally understand why he would take the safest path. Not every black person is built like Malcolm and Martin. That’s why those 2 men are great men. The rest of us are just men.

I’m ashamed of myself for not watching this episode sooner. Raheem Morris is a real one. You can’t fake that humility and authenticity. I’ll be rooting hard for him in Atlanta and I’m glad he’s getting his well deserved shot as a head coach. I appreciate the pivot podcast for having these conversations and being real. This was a great interview, fellas.

Even in deflecting in this interview, Raheem Morris is still encapsulating what many black Americans endure in an effort to move up the ladder. It's okay to be smart to a certain point, but he's reluctant to exude his true consciousness which would reveal he's fully aware of the underlying sentiments and factors that at times inhibit him.

@@MrCorner21 yeah the same billionaires that hired him to coach Tampa for 3 years. Maybe he is cagey on the subject bc he’s still working for the nfl. But maybe he just disagrees. It was kind of whack to see the hosts trying to pin him down on this. People can disagree
