I've heard this piece, Ahmad i-Jam, before! Love this melody. I hear tell it's about a 15th-16th(?) century Muslim saint who, according to legend, was able to raise the Shah's favorite pet elephant back from the dead, for which the saint earned a place close to the Shah's heart.

?Porque si los Indues han pasado años de su vida en un sistema de música no temperado (sist pitagórico) de notas, escuchamos en este video presente, una inclinación de las melodías al temperamento musical habitual? ......sera que hay una tendencia innata al pentafonismo en diversas culturas...ya temperado, incluso en culturas donde han tenido su propia evolución musical...o quizás la construcción en cuanto a la división de los sonidos, tuvo por causal el aporte griego de Pitágoras y a partir de allí se comenzó con el temperamento habitual sincretizandose en diversas culturas precedentes.... Pero incluso antes de que naciera pitagoras se han encontrado instrumentos musicales Egipcios, Judios, Precolombinos, Mesopotámicos, entre otros, con una afinacion basada en la escala pentafona...que como sabemos tiene un temperamento como el que conocemos....acaso esta innato en el hombre..o esto habla de un origen en común de todas las culturas?.......que opinan?
