For centuries the nodes of the Moon 'Rahu' and 'Ketu' have baffled Vedic astrologers in terms of the results they give in their 'mahadasha' and 'antardasha'.
In fact, when it comes to analyzing their influence in a person's life from the perspective of transits, it becomes even more tricky as there doesn't really seem to be a consensus on how to look at and understand at their impact.
I have spent a lot of years reading, writing and researching on the topic of the 'nodes' and have been lucky to have received a lot of love and recognition for the same. In this series, I seek to share this knowledge with my viewers along with a very unique perspective that will not only help you understand the energy of the nodes but also how to channel that energy to fulfill your life purpose.
With each episode, we shall be studying the impact of the North node and South node of the Moon via placements in the natal chart, 'Navamsha' (D-9), 'Dashamasha'(D-10), 'Shashtiamsha' (D-60) and transits. I will expand into the other divisional charts as well but let's hope and aim to fulfill the primary objectives first.
RAHU in TWELFTH house in birth chart
Whenever you have the North node of the Moon 'Rahu' in the twelfth house of the birth chart, that shows us that one of the primary objectives of your soul in this lifetime is learning how to 'let go' and surrender to the divine. You are here to learn all about spirituality, universal consciousness and 'release' of human control over life as it unfolds. This can be one of the most transformative placements second only to the 'Rahu' in eighth' house placement.
The North node in the twelfth house is often looked at many astrologers as better than most placements of the North node such as in the 8th or 9th. However, this can be a very tricky placement to navigate since the need 'run away' or 'escape' from the necessary bindings of life to the physical plane is quite prevalent.
Therefore unless positively channeled, this placement may well cause negative manifestations in the real world such as mental health problems, addictions and/or excessive indulgence in material pleasures.
However 'Rahu' in the 12th can be a great placement in terms of spiritual growth, medical professions, foreign settlements and sports/political careers.
The only thing that matters here is how you become conscious of and navigate this energy in terms of learning to release control over the workings of the world after putting in your best efforts. Probably one of the trickiest aspects of this energy is learning also how to release and surrender one's ideas of how the world should work and ideas should manifest from thought to reality.
