@SachinThomasvarghese Despite the awesome moment, Rahul Dravid is so humble. He was like that during his playing days also, that's why very few know about his towering position in Test cricket especially: He's only behind Sachin Tendulkar as India's second highest run maker and fourth highest in the world. But his unparalleled contribution to Indian Test cricket, was in his ability to play very long innings. This provided Tendulkar the platform to get all those runs while proving to be the team's biggest asset because his tenacious style of play helped India out of very difficult situations with great regularity, especially against mighty teams of the era like Australia, South Africa and England. But he remained very humble despite his amazing achievements.

@SachinThomasvarghese Very well said. In his playing days, I rated Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman much higher than Tendulkar. Dravid, especially so because of the very high price he put on his wicket. Together with Laxman, they were very solid against the most powerful teams of their time like Australia, South Africa, and England.

I think Jay Shah was checking on what was being said and seeing what importance he can draw out of it for BCCI business purposes. He must have personally felt left out because he had no direct contribution to this moment. Rahul Dravid was always the unheralded hero of Indian cricket when Tendulkar, Ganguly were idolised and he is again being his humble self here - something that Jay Shah can learn from.
