In my childhood, I use to believe that Sachin Tendulkar was the greatest batsman to play for India. When I grew up, I realised Rahul Dravid was equally great. No disrespect to the great Sachin Tendulkar.

I met him once in my city. He came here as a indian cricket team A coach a few years ago. You won't believe what just happened. He sitting on the ground near to boundry as a ball boy. Because it was such a big boundaries and no ball boys present over there. I went to him and i said good evening sir because it was evening. He smiled and went inside. He was such a lovely person.

Great work both of you, inspiring video and nice take on the great wall. I have been a fan of Dravid since ages and he had many great moments, the one I love the most is the England tour. Where everyone including Laxman, Sachin, Sehwag could not perform even to a decent level but Dravid scored century in 3/4 matches. There are many great moments but this one is a sign of true warrior. But what came next was even greater. Next summer they went to Australia and Dravid could not perform well and he retired. I remember I was in college and no one could agree it was a right decision, but its Dravid we are talking about. He later said, I could not perform and dont have many years left in me. its about time I give chances to more people to step forward and play with senior people on the team cause soon most of them will retire. Only a selfless person can do that. I still have all the news papers (Hindi, English and Gujarati) published after Dravid's retirement announcement. Great man!!! Great video like always !!! Keep up the great work Abhi and Niyu, you do inspire many people !!!!

When i started watching, i realised drvd is still worst than my dad use to say. And he is most slowest and tuk tuk batsman in indian history. Very safe and no risk, just played to retain his place in the team, throughout his career in both the formats. It clearly sounds when you look at his stats, history, records. Sewag, sachin, gmbhir, laxman, dada, dhoni, azar, virat, rohit, yuvraj and many are far better than drvd. Bkj they are more match winner than drvd. Thats the reason dhoni, kicked out drvd 2007 and finished drvd's odi career that too halp drvd career. I remember in 2000 i started watching cricket and in the Test match against Zimbabwe i think the lengend score 200 and from that day he became my hero.After him many players came to the team and many left but he is actually the true hero for me.

Watched many but there are some which always come on ... 233 Adelaide win 2006 Pak ODI series, he was the dependable n finisher man while chasing which changed my perspective about Rahul Dravid .. Such a gem of batsman. I dare to say that he has one of the best defence.. India was very fortunate to have likes of Dravid, laxman and Sachin who have been saviours/match winners for India in tests several times.. Jai Hind

I became fan of Rahul Dravid when I was a 1st grade kid. I used to cut pictures of him from newspapers and stick them in my notebooks for collection. This video refreshed my old memories.

hallow gentleman, if you know, drvd hit only 2 centuries overall in both the formats in his entire career. One at Adlaid and one at calcutta. and Adlaid test there were no McGrath, no Shane warn or even no Brtlee. otherwise drvd average in Australia against Australia is just 28 and in India against Australia is worst than that. not a single odi century against Australia or match winner in his entire career. its funny he was sick in calcutta test as you said or sick in his entire career against only Australia???? dont mind gentleman, this is bkj Australia team was a toughest bowling attack and topclass feilding in the world no1 team in the world for around 3 decades. similarly dravid performance is not up to the mark against Safrica and Srilanka since these teams were on top. no comparison but small stats, Sachin is having 20 centuries( 12test 9 odi) and Virat 15 only against Australia now against no1 teams in the world record 20/15/2 sachin, virat and drvd respectively. just see the diference. can you imagine class and how you rate these players?? to play against weak teams is big achievement or what??? sorry gentleman, you can refer the above figures please. goodluck gentleman
