Rahul Gandhi Reaches Assam, Monitors Flood Situation In State, Meets Flood Victims | India Today

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Monday met flood-affected people in Assam's Cachar district before going to violence-hit Manipur later in the day. He arrived in Silchar and was felicitated by Congress leaders from Assam and Manipur at the airport. The Gandhi scion then went to Fulertal and interacted with the flood-affected people living in relief camps. This is Rahul Gandhi's first visit to the Northeast after becoming the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha.
The camp is on the route that Rahul Gandhi will take to Manipur's Jiribam district, he said.
