Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a 2013 action hack and slash game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Konami Digital Entertainment. Released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows, it is a spin-off in the Metal Gear series, and is set four years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. In the game, players control Raiden, a cyborg who confronts the private military company Desperado Enforcement, with the gameplay focusing on fighting enemies using a sword and other weapons to perform combos and counterattacks. Through the use of Blade Mode, Raiden can cut cyborgs in slow motion and steal parts stored in their bodies. The series' usual stealth elements are also optional to reduce combat.
The game was originally being developed internally by Kojima Productions, who announced the game in 2009 under the title of Metal Gear Solid: Rising. However, the team met with difficulties in developing a game based on swordplay, so executive producer Hideo Kojima postponed its development until a solution could be found. The project resurfaced in late 2011 under its finalized title, with PlatinumGames as the new developer. The game underwent significant changes in its play mechanics and storyline under PlatinumGames' involvement, although Kojima Productions retained responsibility for the game's overall plot and Raiden's design.
Upon its worldwide release in February 2013, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was well-received by critics, being praised for its sophisticated cutting system, its use of Metal Gear elements to complement the story despite the game's focus on action, its soundtrack, and its boss fights; some criticism was directed at its camera and the short length of the story mode. The game also enjoyed positive sales, with the PS3 and Steam versions selling an estimated total of more than 1.2 million copies. While those involved in the game's production have expressed desire to develop a sequel, such prospects have yet to come to fruition due to the conflicts between Konami and Kojima Productions.
Infamous (stylized as inFAMOUS) is an action-adventure video game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 3. The game was released in May 2009. In Infamous, the player controls the protagonist Cole MacGrath, a bike messenger caught in the center of an explosion that devastates several city blocks of the fictional Empire City. The explosion sends the city into chaos while Cole finds himself with new electricity-based super powers. Though the game's story follows Cole using his new abilities to restore some semblance of order to Empire City, the player is given several opportunities to use these powers for good or evil purposes in the game's Karma system. These choices ultimately affect character growth, the reaction of the city's populace towards Cole, and finer elements of gameplay and the story.
Sucker Punch developed Infamous as a change of pace from their earlier Sly Cooper series of stealth-based games, but using a similar comic book-inspired origin story to help the player become more connected with Cole. The game's pacing in the introduction of new super powers and ease of movement about the city by unconventional means were critical factors during development. The desolate urban atmosphere was inspired by comics such as DMZ and Batman: No Man's Land. Amon Tobin was among the artists that helped to compile its soundtrack, which aimed to reflect the environment.

the video has a good point, cole may be stronger and had more durability but if the only thing that raidens needs to do in order to win is to swing his sword in his general direction once hes done, no defense against that.

@@cufcuftime732 Someone used the rain drops feat during the Monsoon fight and calculated that Raiden can swing his sword 4800 times in a second while in Ripper Mode. Let's also not forget Raiden swinging a building sized blade at absurd speed.

@@CRISIS_COMICS man, I'm in need of your truth again. By what you said in the video, Delsin kills Cole. Delsin is faster cuz he not only dodged light but moves at the speed of light and has a one shotting move in turning people into matter, and I believe lore wise Cole is not protected from that kind of thing(unless he is, but that also means he would counter HV blade cuz being disassembled and turned into matter is probably the worst HV blade can do). So, would that mean, by your standards on wich Raiden wins, Cole also gets rocked by Delsin?

As much as I love Cole McGrath and the inFamous series, I can't see Cole winning this fight, since I don't think he's ever had to deal with anyone that Raiden has bested. Maybe he'd win/get a distinct advantage if he got the jump on him but even then, it'd depend on whether that would do any meaningful damage.

Nice video man, glad I could help in some small part being one of the like twenty people who still care about infamous it seems. I agree with Raiden speedblitzing Cole, and given how low Cole’s resistance to matter manipulation is in comparison to the HF blade’s capabilities, he should be able to cut him to ribbons, in addition to being a more skilled fighter. The only thing Cole really has over Raiden is Attack Potency and that can only get him so far.

@@CRISIS_COMICS unlike mgrr, people already forgot about Infamous and was such a extraordinary game of the time and was dropped too soon. No one is ever going to forget metal gear but the Infamous series is a game just speaks to the soul. Mgrr is great no doubt but for me I will always remember the character cole who is just the best and wish it got better treatment. But nevermind that this video was beautiful and I love your videos so much.

I love Ghost of Tsushima, but damn, knowing that we will never see Infamous again because of It makes me really angry. Remember how cool Paper Trail was in Second Son and how It was simply dropped, together with any chances of a Sequel? It's the same thing with Apex Legends, killing Titanfall ruined that game for me as well.

I'd say it depends on which of them is likely to strike first. If Cole knows how dangerous Raiden is, then he'd just kite him at range with AOE attacks. Otherwise, considering how eager Cole is to enter into melee range despite his ranged advandage, Raiden instacuts him a bajillion times the instant he shows aggression. Also, Raiden is a soldier/assassin, and Cole is a civilian with powers. One has killer instinct+training+talent, and the other has to compensate for lack of experience with firepower.

I think the fact that Cole is able to sense electricity and drain It is massively undervalued. It's made very clear that Raiden's main power source is electricity. Cole being able to always know Raiden's exact location and draining the energy out of both the organic and inorganic parts of his body are abilities that Raiden can't even come close to. It doesn't matter what his body is able to do if it can't function.

This makes happy. Cole macgrath is such a great underrated character and the game is just so good. And I loved these two in ps all stars and wished they'd team up instead of fight. I love cole so much and seeing how recent this is makes me happy. I love raiden too. He was so cool and the game was so badass and this just blows my mind. Awesome job.

Pretty good video. The way I see it, either Raiden one shots or gets one shotted. He's fully capable of taking Cole down quickly, but if at any point Cole realizes just how deadly Raiden's blade is, he could genuinely nuke the area they're in and just being in the blast radius would vaporize Raiden. Granted Cole would be reluctant to nuke the area if we're using good Cole, but if Raiden chops off an arm or something and Cole realizes he's about to die, he might just say fuck it and destroy everything to keep from being killed. All in all, I'd say Raiden wins 7 or 8 times out of ten, though Cole would undoubtedly be the single most powerful man he ever fought

The meme finally made a raiden vs cole what if versus. In canon raiden can run as fast as mach 3000. Maybe in a real fight raiden can defeat cole. In a agility versus raiden can blitz cole due to the fastness of raiden's canonnical fastness feat.

Raiden just wouldn't get close, raiden vs starkiller does sound interesting, but raiden has nothing that stops him from being force pushed away, or getting force choked, or any other force ability. I'm not even sure if Raiden sword could cut through a beam of a lightsaber, probably not, so even if he gets close Star killer has the right action speed to block the attack. And immediately force push

In a fight that the first strike takes all it makes sense that raiden would win. Cole is powerful but really he would get blitzed sense on a base level he is slower then raiden even before the man uses blade mode or ripper mode. This may be an hot take, but I would say it would end in a draw, and it isn't because it's a fight between my two favorite games. At first glance Raiden might seem the winner with the whole cutting clean through Cole with the Zandatsu at lightning speed and having the strength to suplex a metal gear but when you take into account that all of that power comes from an eletrical powered cyborg body and Cole can drain eletrical energy with a thought then that levels the playing field. Assuming Cole isn't fast enough to drain Raiden dry of energy at the very least he would be absolutely nerfed the moment he enters in the Zandatsu range which would make the blade only go as deep as bone even assuming he could get an hit, something which Cole could easly heal by draining more energy OR he could get not hit at all by parrying with the amp or the eletromagnetic shield he has which by the way charges him for each hit the shield takes. Also Raiden may be fast but Cole also has enhanced reflexes when he enters focus mode, so they can be of similar speed and when it comes to raw strength they're both power houses with Raiden being able to lift whole buildings and Cole being able to cut the Beast's face in half with lightning. Assuming Raiden would have an hard time getting near Cole he would have to keep he's distance and bet in quick jabs before retreating giving Cole the chance to dish some punishment. Granted it wouldn't be easy for him either as Raiden managed to survive getting punched through metal gear excelsius, Cole would probably need to get more damage than what he dealt to finish Kessler or the Beast. Raiden does have the Ripper mode but the Ripper mode doesn't protect him against explosions and knockbacks and given the flow of battle Cole could keep his distance by throwing pulses at Raiden until Ripper mode wears off. So Raiden would probably be the first to run out of stamina followed by Cole trying to kill him, in the end either Cole would slip up and end up getting both him and Raiden killed or they would just give up and go grab a beer. HOWEVER Raiden would get absolutely destroyed if we're talking about Beast Cole. Even if the poor war boy manages to somehow cut Cole down his beast powers allow him to regenerate at an atomic level. So seconds to weeks later (depending on how many pieces Raiden cuts him up) Cole would come knocking for a rematch.

Beast Cole could easily regenerate since the Beast power is basically a consciousness that has attached itself to Cole and he would instantly win by using his absorption power or just striking once at Raiden

@@barneykenway4767 Cole was able to dodge a beam of radiation. That's about 50% SoL, or 50% the speed of light. Cole's attacks are also lightning, so at the very least I doubt Alex can dodge anything Cole can output.

the best raiden scaling i've ever seen,but you forgot a few things, First is raidens' ripper mode, So considering his ability to slow down plazma lazers which are equally fast as light (his best speed Feat so far) You forgot to mention that His ripper mode Greatly increases his speed, And no,Using ripper mode in gameplay doesn't affect the speed (due to the fact of The lasers slowing Even without ripper mode activated),But lorewise,ripper mode Can Double his speed With lowball , Which would make him 42.302 (the Highballed version of speed lol) times faster than light with the lowball version,and 84.684 faster than light with the highball version, And If we Highball Ripper mode to quadrupling His speed, This might make raiden 169.208 times faster than light with the highballed version. If u see this u Can correct it if you want to, And you need to Knowledge the fact that Jack can even tank HF blades, Context:Jack tanking the Metal gear ray blade Without any scratch in his fodder form with Shit armor. just pure stat wise raiden has the advantage. only way cole could win is if he drained raidens electricity but that takes time and raiden could tank that drain long enough to get close enough to at least stop the drain then defeat cole. been going through a infamous binge lately probably why youtube reconmended this to me so was really cool to listen to cheers

Maybe. It depends how it exactly works. It blocks and even absorbs bullets, and charges cole. If it just blocks bullets and nothing else, probably not. However if the shield absorbs kinetic energy and turns it into power for cole, then coles probably gonna get a shit ton of energy in a single attack blocked.

Yep I am now confident the Metal Gear verse and Infamous verse would scale pretty high against anime characters. Attack on Titan, Bungou Stray Dogs, and Demon Slayer is out no way is any high tier character in those verses would win against Raiden and Cole MacGrath. Raiden would defeat all of Tokyo Ghouls and Akame Ga Kill even Shikoutazer would fall to him and even Dragon Ken Kaneki would be harmed. He could fatally hurt higher level characters in other verses with those beyond atomic level cutting swords. Cole MacGrath in raw power would rival Fairy Tail and Black Clover characters at this point of time.

the more i think about it this is a batman v superman type battle, A skilled fighter with less powers vs just some op superhero with minor training compared to whatever the fuck batman trained and thats including batmans iq and planning ahead.

Haven't even watched the video yet but I'm gonna just say in my own mind off the bat, I think Raiden would win. Maybe not by a landslide some might assume considering Cole is pretty capable himself, in theory I reckon Cole would even be capable of draining Raiden's new body from Revegeance and any damage done to Raiden would last, he wouldn't be able to heal himself assuming there's no other cyborgs he can pull from. But also using Cole's own game logic, he'd need to get pretty close to Raiden to try draining and it would take a few seconds, which is more then enough time for Raiden to cut Cole in two. So its unlikely Cole would be able to do so in time. I don't think the AMP would be capable of surviving a slash from Raiden's Regular HF Blade never mind Sam's so Cole would have no up close defence which is what Raiden would specialize with considering sheer speed I'm pretty sure would outclass Cole in every capacity. Cole's best chance in my mind would be to use the environment to keep away from Raiden, not that Raiden wouldn't be far behind considering the speed, but Cole's powers would be able to keep Raiden at bay for so long. If Cole is able to get the jump on Raiden or manages to land a few clean hits with either some powerful attacks, freezes him (assuming he's got the Ice powers) or is able to throw enough objects that land (assuming Raiden doesn't just cut them) or even throwing Raiden himself into things (assuming the kinetic lift would work on Raiden's body too) then he might be able to wear Raiden down but one wrong move and its curtains. If it it were best out of 10, I think Cole might be able to fluke or even manage to drain/damage Raiden enough to claim a victory but the majority of the time Raiden would just overpower Cole in a blitz of strength, speed and slashes. And this isn't even thinking about 'Ripper mode'.

Nah videos like this prob take much time but nah there are many factores you are ignoring that could give cole the win and since we dont know how strong good cole in endgame is i wouldnt say raiden can beat him
