EU4 Tunis is my favourite nation in EU4. It's easily one of the EU4 most fun nations because of one mechanic - Raiding. EU4 Raiding, or Raiding in EU4, means you can quickly steal ducats from your enemies, much like a pirate republic. From here, you can use them to form EU4 andalusia.. although EU4 France allying with EU4 morocco sort of spoiled my day here.

Monthly piety accelerator builds up piety or negative piety depending on what side you're on. If you're in the negative it will give negative piety and vice versa. It's a modifier that was added because flat bonuses to positive or negative piety were annoying and what those monuments used to give. The number on the modifier itself is always positive but that's what it does now.

See, the issue I have with Tunis is If I want to play on North Africa, Morocco is right there I've played a couple games as Tunis, but Morocco is just stronger in practically every way Especially because it's so easy to form Andalusia

To 34:01 there is actually --> a yep just press a It will send them on a mission to repair themselves and they will automatically come back BUT only if the full navy is repaired. So what I do is press a, send them to port and after a month tick press again a (so that I only have the fully repaired one) and send them back to my main navy. and press d to detatch ships for blockade Hope this helped

Is there a corresponding UI button or not? Cause Ive never seen that... And there is no way of finding shortcuts like this (no documentation for shortcuts exists or Im an idiot and cant find it in the wiki)

@@FonikosGazmas I don't remember how I found out, maybe by howering over a button. For many features there are no shortcuts (for exampel raizing provinces)

@@samuelblackjack7752 Well YT didnt publish the original comment... Anyways the button for the repair is where the @Beb_16 told me it was, under the "Go To" button. Since I use the keyboard for shortcuts, the "A" key has also been quite useful aswell so thanks to both of you ;)

So, AI don't ignore forts. Forts are just weird and insane and un-intuitive and I think bugged. I'm pretty sure the fort in Tafilalt was what was letting them cross into your land.

@@spoonsareoccasionallymadeo5728 I don't know what you mean by "OG Greece". If you mean a Greece that isn't Byzantine, it already exists. Just have a number of Greek provinces with Greek as your primary culture and Byzantium not existing you can form regular Greece. Still, it's a tad ambitious to want Athens of all states to do that, considering they're, at 1444, pretty much a west European crusader state under control of the Romans.

I didn't hear it mentioned. Galleys only take up 1 combat width vs. heavies 3. Meaning you can have 3 galleys worth of cannons far exceeding the firepower you described in the earlier math. Having a few heavies to "tank" is still worth it as your economy improves, but your galleys are going to have vastly superior firepower in inland seas.

34:02 there is "repair damaged ships" button that detaches damaged ships and gives them mission to repair, but you can just immediately cancel that mission and voila

also combat widht is smaller for galleys, so it is actually better then a carrack if you both fill the same width.

The only real downsides is the force limit it takes and their hull size other than that galleys are just better in inland seas. Having a few carracks as tanks in the mediteranian is a good idea, but in the end it is all about the galleys unless you are limited by force limit.

Laith, you can detach the damaged ships using the a button, it's also next to the detach blockade button under "Go to"

You know... there IS a button that allow to detach damaged ships... Right where split in half and detach for blockade is... You can move your ships in port, and then do it. Because if you not - ships will head to on of core provinces, ignoring occupied. And after all ships are repaired they will go back to your fleet...

Laith, just for you to know, you could have taken more Land back from Portugal if you had made a peacedeal with Marrakesh only. You controlled their "allies" Land, so you can take it in the "retake cores menu". This would have meant that you dont get as much money, but also significantly less ae. (-75%) because you made a separate peace Deal you had no casus belli and got more ae.

I don't know if this is still the case but the ai would not siege down province in a forts zone of control unless they owned the fort so it was better to have gold mines and other good provinces next to forts

Do you know that if a country gets somewhat 52 aggressive expansion with you, all you have to do is improve relations with them for 2 ish months and then they wont join, do this during your war and you will be able to take more land and dodge coalitions

I know it was hyperbole, but I’d argue that Siberian Frontiers are the best idea in the game for utility. Or else Prussia’s Inf CA or Morale. Or Ryukyu’s 25% AE reduction if we’re talking 1444. Raiding is only good because North Africa is jank otherwise lol. Starting as Mzab your first goal is to form Tunis lol. North Africa is honestly in my opinion the worst starting area. Low dev Tatooine provinces, little expansion opportunities (not even south!), and subpar ideas. It’s rough but I’m glad you enjoy playing Tunis! lol

he's not ignoring the fort in tilimsan. forts don't extend their influence past borders, even if you capture them. So there is no zone of control Fighig or Kasdir

First time I was playing Tunis was going amazing I got all the islands in the Mediterranean and was pretty rich, but I basically effed up by declaring a war on the Mamluks, not because I couldn’t beat them (ottomans were my ally) but because they were allied to Morocco, the supposedly weren’t coming cause too much debt, but it was a trap, they jumped on my and when I was able to free my land I got 20 in war exhaustion and basically all my islands and Naples were about to get independent
