Hey Rat Knight, i've got a name for the robot, ScourgeBot, also i have some lore for it: Captain Udo's crew was skilled in plundering and navigating the treacherous cosmic sea, but their swashbuckling lifestyle left the ship in a constant state of disarray. To keep the vessel in tip-top shape, Captain Udo thought of a solution that would ensure his crew remained focused on their piratical pursuits without being bogged down by mundane chores.

The issue is that your ship is just too big for its crew and armament. A smaller but combat dedicated vessel would be much better for space battles since the star reaper is just a space station with engines on it at this point. Still, you would need to add more armour to the mid section on the outside if you dont want to be split in half.

A problem you might run into grafting wrecks, sometimes the engines wont engage because they dont think they're part of your ship. Replacing them with devmode should fix!

Hey Rat, I got Some lore about why Boyd was a slave. Boyd was captured in a battle between the UNSC and the Kig-yar surrendering as he was the last one of his crew. Though Cpt. Udo found this as a Negative trait, the positives outweighed the negatives. P.S First time ever trying to make lore hope you like it though. 😅

Given the fact your ship is constantly torn apart by enemy blasts and debris, I think you should allow yourself to use debug mode (god mode enabled) to paint the walls. I'm using it in my game because tinctoria takes way too long to grow, just to have bits blown off!

I have a mod suggestion for you rat knight, there is a mod called MinifyEverything that allows you to reinstall almost everything, including SOS2 hull and weapons and such. I figured I'd mention it since I saw you using the salvage bay to move and connect things to your ship. It is very cool using the salvage bay like that though.

Great video! You know, i've found a mod for rimworld called 'The Army of Fetid Corpses' that got updated via forking on the workshop not too long ago. IT seems pretty interesting, could be good addition too your play through if your looking too add something new for your pirates to encounter!

For landing the ship on the ground to have it fight, it might be worth slightly decreasing the ship's shield bubbles as to both not hit your own shields and to make counter attacks less effective as the enemies will have to cross even more ground to get inside your ship's shields if they want their ranged attacks to be more effective.

Awesome video and I have idea to help the pirate Cruise Maybe they should try to make a small army of pirate robots that way they can focus on shooting more people while the robots handle fighting and robbing ships

Since you have those rocket launchers you can use so much. When you do a boarding action to take over a ship your first objective should be to take out the engines once you do that they can no longer try to run. Once that is done it will convert the ship into a wreck which you can then bring over with your salvage bay and finish cleaning up the crew at your leisure. AND PLEASE stop leaving your turrets exposed to the vacuum surround them in the hull so they don't immediately die in combat and the ones that need to be reloaded can be reloaded from the inside of the ship. Also make sure you can reach all your engines from the inside of the ship so you don't loose any of your colonists the same way you did the cleansweeper. You can also equip A.D.A.M. with armor and weapons.

the though of hyper space is sacry like your sleep for 147 years and it's a blink of an eye to u and all your family could be gone

with all the extra heat sinks and power you've gained, that corvette shouldn't pose too big an issue. Though you should start thinking about expanding wider, not just longer with your acquisitions.

i recommend vannila expanded quickdrawn for the shipbreaching teams mayhaps some autoshottys, the bullpulp from quickdrawn have less range than a rifle but faster aiming time, meaning you will shoot faster maybe even a breach menber with a sword and shield

Add some layers of walls to the sides of the ships hull to increase it's strength

Rat knight I think a good story for Boyd would be that he was a loyal UNSC citizen until the jackal pirates attacked his settlement and the UNSC were preoccupied and didn’t help. He is now jaded against the covenant and UNSC both and is out for vengeance.

Rat knight maybe you should make your ship wider instead of longer as the shields may not be able to properly defend the entire ship itself with how long it is, I also want it to be bigger so that it has more defense for the critical component, I also realized the back engines are exposed without shielding which is why I suggested this, it may also snap in half when entering the planets atmosphere! If you would like to make upgunning your ship just a bit easier or just simply adding more coolant, you could add in a mod called MinifyEverything. It was previously incompatible with the EXP branch that you downloaded manually, but it was made compatible with the steam release. It is a bit cheaty, though.

It's great to build long but don't forget to build wide too. Length is good but girth is what really matters. 🦆
