I think to activate Brave strix effect to add the rank up to your hand, u must detach raiders knight instead of the fuzzy lanius because its effect only adds a rank up magic to your hand, if u have a winged beast as an xyz material. Just a small little nitpick. But still a great video. :)👍

Hi there! That's a good point. Maybe I should have mentioned this in the video. I'm not a ruling expert but I think you can detach Fuzzy and still search for your Rank-Up-Magic :) I tested the combo on the Omega simulator and it allows the search for the Rank-Up by detaching the Fuzzy. The way I think this works is that the Winged Beast material that is required to activate the effect was there when you activated it. (But again, I'm not a ruling expert ;) Maybe it's a bug on YGO Omega)

If you wanna use the brave strix effect to search the rank-up spell, you can and it doesn't matter what material you detach. You already fulfilled it's condition requirement by having a winged-beast monster as an xyz material.

Hi! nice video, thanks for the explanation, what you think about the old kali yuga variant? could it be compatible with the new support?

Thank you! I have not played with a Kali Yuga build myself yet. I think Lithium2300 did a video on it a while back. You can probably pull it off pretty consistently if your opponent does not have a ton of hand traps. But I think a Kali Yuga build will perform (relatively) better in a Master Duel best-of-1 format. Maybe I'll make a follow-up video looking at that when the Raidraptor support finally comes to Master Duel :)

I'm a little concerned about the lock that Fuzzy Lanuis puts you. Is it viable to not play it at all?

Fuzzy Lanius is a really good card, but the deck can still perform well without it! Some time after making the video, I decided to reduce Fuzzy to 2 copies instead of 3. If you don't want to play it, you could replace it with additional copies of Vanishing Lanius or opt for more hand traps and Crossout Designator instead.

Great question! Raider's Knight is definitely the weak point in the combo. What I'll usually try to do if my opening hand allows it, is to search for Raider's Wing before going into Raider’s Knight. This card protects Raider's Knight and Brave Strix from targeting effects such as Impermanence and Effect Veiler. And if your Raider’s Knight does get negated, you can try to use Noir Lanius' GY effect > Banish to increase all your Raidraptors' Levels by 1, then go into your Brave Strix. But this play will use a lot of your resources (if it is available to you), so your endboard won’t be as strong. Maybe I’ll make a follow-up video explaining some of these options in more detail.
