By the Carrizo Gorge Railroad CA. Departing on the Railcart Little Fox. from Jewel Valley Rd. near Tierra
del Sol in Southern California to Jacumba ca. Also passing very close to the international border with Mexico. a very arid and rocky landscape. A friend also accompanied us with another Railcart.
Por el Carrizo Gorge Railroad CA. saliendo en el Railcart Little Fox. desde Jewel Valley Rd. cerca de tierra del sol en el sur de california hasta Jacumba ca. pasando muy cerca tambien con la frontera internacional con mexico . un paisaje muy arido y rocoso . tambien nos acompaño un amigo con otro Railcart.

That first railroad coach you came to we lived in when I was born in 1951. My dad , four uncles, to grandfathers worked on the railroad in the twenties thru the fifties. My mother was born in jacumba in 1928. My dad was a fireman on the steamers starting in 1941. I spent my childhood riding motor cars all the way to the desert. Happy childhood memories. Have lots of 8 mm movies of the railroad

Very familiar with this area of southern San Diego county. Beautiful place. I-8 not far from these tracks. Great video!

You guys are fortunate that those rails are still there. Here in Wisconsin, they rip out the rails and turn the rail bed into a bike path...boring.

14:20 What was that critter bouncing along. An Antelope maybe? Overcast and the occasional pool of water. Looks like it was a nice time of the year, to be out on the rails.

Que buena pregunta!!! Raro no se . Pero todo se ve distinto desde la via del tren se puede ver todo porque va mas elevada que los caminos

It dipped into Mexico for a few miles. It had little traffic, high maintenance and operating expense, and earthquake and other natural damage to the track.

I tried riding a railcart in the woods of East Texas. Ya take your life into your hands since there were way too many tree branches falling and to be removed from across the tracks. It was not an enjoyable event. Be glad you don't have tree branches across the tracks in the desert.
