Your lucky you did not get kicked out.....you need a filming permit in Burbank as I learned from burbank PD a few weeks back when I was there

The coast starlight must be on its detour route. Because usually goes through Burbank.

Wow. And I was on the Coast Starlight a couple days before AND ONLY P42's were leading. I did see 505 on train 11 but DAMNIT

BNSF owns Metrolink.

I thought Amtrak owned Metrolink, under a contract to the SCRRA. UP also operates on some of the track Metrolink has, such as on the Ventura County Line.

The reason why they were using BNSF freight engines was because a incident happened where a Metrolink hit a flat bed truck in the Antelope Valley and the Metrolink cab car derailed. So when they did the investigation they found out the cab cars where to light weight so for a while when Metrolink was updating there cab cars making them more heavier BNSF let Metrolink barrow some of their freight engines.
