On Spring break, my brother and I decided to take a trip and check out what railfanning was like across the U.S. border. We woke up at 4am and headed straight for the CN Kingston Sub just west of Montreal. Upon arrival , CNs Dorval East interlocking displayed a clear both east and west, a great way to start the day. Within 2 hours, we caught CN 120 and M372 with a IC "Death Star" and a few VIA and AMT trains. My original plan was to stay at Dorval all day but after some helpful info from a few local railfans we left Dorval and relocated to the Montreal Sub. Less then an hour at that location proved to be a great success with several VIA trains and a pair of GP9s working a local job. After a quick lunch we headed to MP. 17.5 on the Kingston Sub where we had heard a detector earlier that morning. Traffic picked up immensely with lots of VIA and AMT action (not all included in this video) along with a few more CN freights including a grainer and a rare "Yellow Devil"! During a lull we relocated 2 miles west for the last where we saw two more CN freights and more VIA and AMT passenger service in the setting sun. I hope enjoy!
