It's just a never-ending parade of trains. Definitely a line to put on the railfanning bucket list.

The train with the CN and CSX units was 217 cars! Wow, just wow! Another huge one for UP.
@MBTrains12058 жыл бұрын
UP MNPPR is usually 200+ out in Nebraska till it gets to Boone
@ABALLAM38 жыл бұрын
When it hits Boone, does it drop a number of cars and the proceeds onto Proviso?
@MBTrains12058 жыл бұрын
Yep. They drop off a considerable amount of cars in Boone and in Omaha as well.
@railfanryan85472 жыл бұрын
Anyone gonna talk about the number between the CSX and UP were one number off that cool to me
@davidcoleman958 Жыл бұрын
Holy cow this is really busy! I've heard that PSR has eliminated a lot of trains sadly on this line. The BNSF through Fort Madison I've heard is the busiest freight route now.
@MBTrains1205 Жыл бұрын
Yeah its such a shame that the triple track was so busy and now its down to basically 30 trains. Maybe
@MP34.98 жыл бұрын
The speed of that first train tho holy crap

I think it was way back maybe 25 yrs ago they would change crews at Grand island. and Sidney

Nice catches. 7:26 it almost looks like CSX #4757 and UP #4758 are sisters (because the model looks identical), but there not because #4757 is a SD70MAC and #4758 is a SD70M.
@MBTrains12054 жыл бұрын
The only true difference between the two is that the MAC has AC traction motors compared to the SD70M only have DC power traction motors

When I go to visit my relatives in Colorado, I like to get off I-80 at Grand Island, and drive on U. S. 30 to North Platte. One time, I saw 84 trains in two hours a few years ago.

Dog lucky you
@uprailman7 жыл бұрын
That sure was a win. I'd say I'd be lucky to see that many in a few months going to the tracks on Cajon

3:05 NOOOOOOO NOT A GAYSIDE HORN!!! At least he gave you a hornshow.
@MBTrains12058 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm not too fond of the wayside horns. But a lot of the crews out here were very friendly
@TrainsNStuff8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, IDK who's friendlier, UP or BNSF? Can you look at my channel?
@MBTrains12058 жыл бұрын
+Trains N' Stuff eh. Kinda depends where your at in the country as to which crews are nicer. Yeah I'll give your channel a look!

Nice vid. What are some of the locations? I'm looking for the areas in Iowa with high speed UP
@MBTrains12055 жыл бұрын
fallingup90 if you want high speed UP in Iowa probably should go to western IA
@midwestrailfanner22684 жыл бұрын
Anywhere on the UP line between Missouri Valley and Boone is good for high speed trains, and anywhere on the UP line between Des Moines and Kansas City is good too.

Layne Thomas Sometimes railroads need extra power, so they may rent out locomotives from other railroads.

I am no professional but that is one thing I learned by being disappointed with my product. stareting with family photos was to make sure the light was to my back. I 'd be leaving faces in the dark and the capture lost. I brought that forward to when the few times I get to the tracks as they are the memories I want to keep.

I don't recognize any of the towns, what towns were shown and what direction were they going? Really would have been interesting had you given a little information and far less wasting time watching one train at a time.
