The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) announces in Ottawa that over 95 per cent of workers at Canadian National (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) have voted in favour of a strike. The votes occurred following six months of negotiations between the union and the two companies. TCRC president Paul Boucher says a work stoppage could occur as early as May 22, 2024.
