That was the most infomative overview to date. I found it informative that you are thinking in terms of swales, I am sure you want to do survey so you can do long swales across the slope. Without the survey have you considered the half moon scalops the africans dig by hand .

It’s so awesome to get that Birds Eye view Jack and Tim. I’m impressed you had the chat about water retention, slowing down flows and Tim’s conversation about grass and vegetation management. Over in the east, I used to live in the Mallee, we’ve got somewhat similar issues. It’s a real privilege and pleasure to enjoy your channel.

That was fascinating to watch. The professional constant safety chat between the two of you and the knowledge as guardians of the land and how the water levels will affect different areas is really interesting. One thing that really comes across when you take us up flying is the huge distances between your boundaries of the station. Out of interest, I live on the “Isle of Wight” on the South Coast of England and it would be very interesting to see how many times the “Isle of Wight” would fit into your boundaries?

A great video Jack. The wing camera quality is really good. Looking forwar to a 360 one! I could make out the water points easily at the low level you very flying at. I managed to mostly track your flight on Google Earth and spot the water points I've previosuly found. Just got to work out the site names! Consider adding the phone app GPS nav data that shows 6-pack instruments on the bottom of your videos. That way people will have a better idea of which way you're flying and what height you're at, at any point in the video. As a pilot myself, I could figure out your directions and locations, but most people won't have a clue. Hope that helps. Cheers from slightly more mountainous NZL, David.🐄🐪🦘🥩🛩🌧🌧🌧

Awesome episode, I know you don't comment much on these posts so all good 👍👍👍 I did get a little excited when you and the olde boy was talking about cutting in water swales, best method to introduce water into dry land to absorb for future growth, it's just time and money, but how good would it be greening your land. The only downer would be the ferrals taking advantage of the new green growth 🤔🤔🤔I did notice the green flow from the water run off in the streams showing established trees and a few minor tree / shrubs, does all the new self sown trees get consumed by the stock and ferrals ??? Cheer Andy🍺🍺🍺

@@richardrogers7339 I do see the reason it's needed in places like this. Their cattle need water and feed but around me it's just bullshit. Nothing is over run. Nothing is getting destroyed. It's a big ploy to wipe them out and then we have no reason for a firearms and they take them all.back. it's happening
@terrybagatella38983 ай бұрын
Excellent content as usual. I'm guessing this sort of rain will keep pressure off your yards for a while as camels can access surface water. Also just wondering is a helicopter part of your plans on the station.? Might help with the off camel cull. 🐫
@v1rotait233 ай бұрын
Choppers are very expensive to run so Jack brings one in for a specified job when required. Whereas the little airplanes they have are cheap to run and get around, out to the furthest water points if it's going to be a short maintenance job. For a water point camel shoot they'll drive out after checking the cameras...

I am just a desk chair pilot myself and it might just be the camera view but I had the feeling that you were flying quite low at times. If your engine failed in an untimely manor it would seem hard to find a suitable roadstrip in time for a safe landing without trees and bushes in the way. Anyway beautiful video!

Question from the UK. How do you manage to round up all of your stock and how do you know what head of cattle you have on the station. The shear scale of things out there is a complete head faze. Love watching the vlogs
