Sahl said: There was no name dearer to `Ali than Abu Turab (for it was given to him by the Prophet himself) and he felt delighted when he was called by this name. He (the governor) said to him: Narrate to us the story of his being named as Abu Turab. He said: Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) came to the house of Fatima and he did not find `Ali in the house; whereupon he said: Where is your uncle's son? She said: (There cropped up something) between me and him which had annoyed him with me. He went out and did not rest here. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) asked a person to find out where he was. He came and said: Allah's Messenger, he is sleeping in the mosque. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) came to him and found him lying in the mosque and saw that his mantle had slipped from his back and his back was covered with dust and Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) began to wipe it away from him (from the body of Hadrat `Ali) saying: Get up, covered with dust (Abu Turab); get up, covered with dust.

If it wasn't for my bad allergies I would go out and embrace the rain everytime. I always do that in my 20s anyways. Now I'm at 32, I get sick quite easily but it's nice to know that it's a Sunnah MashaAllah I never even knew. Next time it's close to the weekend I'm jumping in the rain for sure.

Hadith? Man made comments some 700+ years after the events by Persian men with no connection with or to the events they comment on. Required because their fictional book is inadequate at best. It’s pretty pathetic if you ask me. The Quran requires supplemental hearsay commentary written by regular non Arab men 700 years after the events and they eat that stuff up likes the fools they are. And they give the Persians men fancy titles and names to add bogus legitimacy to the nonsense. Funny the Bible doesn’t need supplemental hearsay to stand on like the Quran does. And they classify some of the Hadith as trustworthy and others are not, based on what Muslims how you feel about the hearsay? Get lost with this

'Ali said to him: Allah's Messenger, you leave me behind along with women and children. Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said to him: Aren't you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there is no prophethood after me. And I (also) heard him say on the Day of Khaibar: I would certainly give this standard to a person who loves Allah and his Messenger, and Allah and his Messenger love him too. He (the narrator) said: We had been anxiously waiting for it, when he (the Holy Prophet) said: Call 'Ali. He was called and his eyes were inflamed. He applied saliva to his eyes and handed over the standard to him, and Allah gave him victory. (The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed: Let us summon our children and your children. Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) called 'Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Husain and said: O Allah, they are my family.

I imagine in Mecca or Medina, getting rain is something that is not often happen. So I can see the joy of our Prophet in doing so. But i never felt that the action of going out to the rain itself as a specific ibadah. I mean, no criticism to anyone who does it but to say "aww shush what with these people hiding from the rain?" is kinda unfair?

Also there's the prophecy about the end times that the rain will get acidic and that's exactly what the scientists proved recently that people cannot use rainwater anymore because of it's toxicity and acidity. So the rain at the time of the prophet pbuh. Was completely different than it is today.

Subhanallah im from uk but when I go pakistan and visit family once it rains in thunders and rains heavily everyone goes up to the roof and enjoys it it’s been like this for many years probably even before I was born my dad told me he would do the same it’s very refreshing when it rains. Please some things are so simple it meant that the rain was pure and a blessing....the desert region has around 40 degree and rain is rare there.... Yes water is a blessing...but that does not mean go in london at less then 20 degrees out and start joining the rain... Instead pray may this be a blessed rain for everyone here... The holy prophet saw used to eat flesh as well....not all the time of course. Imagine someone really poor...he might not eat flesh in years.... Things like that should not be handled like you do...out of any context....without any logic.

Mate, turn on your brain lmao. Even tho its a sunnah, depends where you live, its better not to do this. You must understand that our beloved Prophet (s.a.w.) lived in a hot desert where raining was very rare, and in most cases it was like a good event. However, In many countries out there you will get cold after doing something like this, so first of all be mindful. P.S. u really need to think twice before suggesting this to others💀

I remember a friend one time made a joke about how when it rains in the country you and I live in.. Another one of our friends will go out and dance in the rain with red underwear on... We are not in contact anymore.. Time flies, cherish your best moments.

Alhamdulillah 😊 i love to enjoy the nature but here its cold and we can get sick easily.. need to wake up tomorrow at 5 for work .. now if I’m sick thats it. Man life is not so simple but Alhamdulillah anyways Salam.
