I use to do this all by hand when I bought my little farm back in 1980. I had some pretty amazing fires that burned for days. How nice it is to sit here with my arthritic old joints and just watch you stay dry in that cab, I can almost smell the wood burn while the pond fills, this is so relaxing!

We’ve gotten close to 6 inches of rain here in Western Kentucky where I live over the last week or so. I figured you were getting some of that. Your pond looks great now that it’s full. I’d like to see how much the big pond where you’re working now has come up since the rain.

Definitely love Chris's pile fire episodes. WOW what a difference the pind being finally full makes. It's absolutely beautiful now. Throw in some fishies and it won't be long till it's time to set up a camp rocking chair with a couple of coolers fulla beer and munchies and start casting for dinner. It's definitely a nice swimming hole now.

Yes indeedy, the pond looks great. I know it was dark, but I really appreciate you showing what a full overflow pipe looks like from the top and bottom. I honestly expected more washout on the outlet side, looking good. I knew you had enough watershed for a pond because a) you know your land and the water flow, b) several years ago you did walk about on the South Side of your property after the fence was put in and the flooding, standing water was incredible. Thanks for sharing the fires. You do those so well, they are so much fun. Thanks again, for this Chris. Looking forward to your next video.

I think that would be the better move with your pond outlet. Riprap and scoonch the channel over away from the fence posts. I seem to recall that was what you wanted to happen, was to get a good heavy rain in to see just where the water was going to settle down a channel before doing trim tweeking there Chris.

I had no doubts about that pond. I remembered the flooded mess that area was before you did anything back there, especially after a hurricane! Monsoons count too!!😂😂 Now Chris,,, I have a bone to pick with ya!! 😮😮 Are we not worth a huge belly laugh when you “accidentally” shock yourself on the fence?? 😂😂 I personally know how much they hurt, but I survived!! Even in muddy conditions!! 😂😂. My dog wasn’t sure how to deal with my small tantrum after,,,, but when I started laughing at her reaction to my carelessness, she got the zombies IN THE MUD!! It was a long day,,,,,. 😊😊 Are we not worth that??😮😮😂

You should try Man Behind The Scene's method (Dirt Perfect). They soak a hay bale with diesel and stuff it in a hole they make. If that fails, out comes the blower.
@fluffyashes6 ай бұрын
Are those fence posts at all in danger of rot from the water coming out of the overflow? I only ask because my treated wooden fence in my yard is rotting in the low laying areas from standing water during rains. BTW I also live in central NC was this during the flooding we just had?
