As a Chinese (Cantonese) born in Vietnam now living in Australia. Am truly blessed with Asian heritage migrated to all around the world, we can still enjoy the delicious food from our home countries without having to go back and eating eg Pho,Bun Rieu, Bun bo Hue, and particularly Dim sum at Yum Cha restaurants. Enjoy your stay in Vietnam Raina maybe you could come and Visit Australia if you haven’t been before. We are a diverse and multicultural Country with plenty of yummy Cuisine

That was a plate overflowing with food. It looked yummy. You finished the plate like it was a snack. I am really enjoying being able to follow you on your journey and truly appreciate you sharing them with us. I loved your dress you have on. Beautiful as always.

runny egg yolk is tasty mixed into rice. the japanese do that a lot for breakfast. i'm leery of the Michelin stars thing. none of these asian places look that calibre even if the food is tasty

In Asian people don’t care about food challenges like this. They prefer to enjoy their food with regular or smaller portions cause there’s so many varieties to choose from.

12 dollars = 280 thousand vn dong, that is worth more than an AVERAGE pay for a Vietnamese worker/day, you tell me was it a good meal or not. To me that was the most expensive dish of food the world, for the Vietnamese. In my country if a meal that cost a full working day pay, it should be all full of lobster and kobe steak.

Why is it called Broken Rice??

Rice gets sifted. Most of the ones sold in stores are full/ whole grain. The ones that are broken are sold as broken rice in Vietnam. It has a very different texture from regular white rice. It's not fluffy and soft. The broken rice dish is served to be drenched in the fish sauce because it won't get soggy.
