Rainbow Dichroic Hearts - Fused Glass Project

Follow along as I set up a rainbow heart using Coatings by Sandberg dichroic glass.
Mold used: Firelite 7055, primed with Zyp
Glass is all Bullseye. Black opal medium frit, crystal clear coarse frit, clear confetti, and dicro is thin black.
Dichroic is the 3/4" Rainbow A Stripes, in Cyan Dark Dark Red.

Thank you for watching! I sometimes go months, or a year, between using my kiln, so I feel you. I think easy projects are the way to go a lot of the time. It lets you bang out something to enjoy, without spending 4 hours making it, only to cry when the kiln it opened because something went wrong.

Sorry I didn't get to this sooner! I use a standard full fuse for my hearts: Degrees per hour - Temp - hold in Minutes 400 - 1225 - 60 600 - 1490 - 10 AFAP - 900 - 120 100 -700 -1 The bottom is optional, I use it during the cold months. Now that it's warmer, I don't use it.

The dicto I bought directly from CBS, but if you're looking for a place to buy more than a 2" or 3" square, I highly recommend Melt Glass Art Supply

I do! In warmer months I do them at my home, and all year long I do a twice a month class at Sould Flags, the art literacy group in downtown Oregon City. It's the first and third Thursdays of the month, and March is tealights
