I'll always remember hearing this song for the first time... Listening to the first sections being like "Oh this is pretty good" to then get extremely emotional when the main chorus arrived. It was finally back after not being in Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii and I was really not expecting it! :') Overall I feel like it's just one very powerful track that tell a story through it's sections and melodies and it still gets me right in the feels to this day...! I hope to hear that main chorus back in Mario Kart 9.

The best rainbow road

I swear, this is the closest we're gonna get to the "Final Showdown" feeling in Mario Kart.

I remember this from Mario Kart 64! Rainbow Road took 5 minutes in that game, so the slow build to the emotional chorus was appropriate. I like how you took off your hat for the acoustic guitar to let us know this was a softer sound. 😁

Here’s to hoping this course will be in the new DLC. DS was my first Rainbow Road and will always hold a special place in my heart, but it doesn’t hold a candle to 7’s.
