Take a cruise down a multi-coloured memory lane as we revisit every Rainbow Road theme from the Mario Kart series! We all have memories of the final course of every Mario Kart (whether happy or frustrated), and I wanted to pay homage to almost 30 years of the beautiful music that has accompanied it. I've tried to give each piece its due; look out for your favourite!
Inspired by 8-bit Music Theory’s video on the topic, I explored the various melodic, harmonic, and structural similarities across the series, trying to create a medley that flowed seamlessly from one piece to the next. As I mentioned in my video on Sky Station Galaxy, piano transcription is always my first step in the orchestration process, so look out for a fully orchestrated version of this medley in the future!!!

Can’t believe I’m only just finding this, when Mario kart DS came on, it was just the biggest flood of my happiest memories when I was playing that. Back in a time where I wasn’t depressed and so anxious about everything, so thank you so much for taking me back to that time where I didn’t worry. Simply legendary what you’ve done here.

What a breathtaking masterpiece! It captures the feeling of a nostalgic lullaby and a triumphant finale simultaneously. My favorite part is from 8:27 to the end because the melodies blend so beautifully! Also that buildup to the minor chord at 9:22 hits different. You deserve way more than 31 subs because this work is phenomenal!

Mk7 rainbow road is not my favorite but I love the main theme that is in it and the same in others. It ties every rainbow road together 😀

Hey, do you think you could share a musicxml file? I'm only asking because I don't have sibeluis, so I have to use musescore. Sharing the file as a musicxml would be great, because pretty much any music editing software understands it.

when i heard the beginning of the super circuit theme and immediately going to the 64 one i was scared that the gba one wouldnt actually get a portion but it did 😁
