a few balancing changes (apparently a huge anti cheat update) shield rework, acogs + removing the 1.5x scope (very boring overpowered scope) and more QOL changes

Shields got overhauled, so hipfiring with a shield isn’t possible anymore and whenever you sprint with any then you keep the shield up. You can go through a barricade without prepping it and the melee is now like an oryx dash which is 2-3 hits to kill or just shoot them after you knock someone down

Next season almost all attackers have a acog and some defenders have a acog too

No better time to buy the game, Ubisoft brought back many aspects of old siege players liked with all the balancing and optimization of new era siege, this new season has been very enjoyable so far and many old players are coming back

i got the game like a week ago and i average like 3-4 kills in one game

the game was never really intended for a casual crowd anyhow tbf- but tbh it sounds more like you are just a victim of the shitty SBMM they introduced when they changed ranked. Technically killed smurfing... by making SBMM nonexistent past gold. My games are either against people who just got the game, and i drop 13-1, or against ex-pros and current pros and i drop like 3-5

Because it’s actually pretty significant, not ‘nothing.’ Having only 1 magnification scope that happens to be pretty zoomed in changes the balance of gunplay pretty heavily, as playing close with an ACOG has always been harder than with a 2x or lower. Because of the ACOG being more difficult to use than the other scopes, this makes justifying giving it to all the attackers and some of the defenders much easier and doesn’t create a system where it’s just “Give this op a 1.5 but take it away from this one” as a method of balancing. Also nostalgia. Running F2 and Ash R4C with ACOG’s hasn’t been a thing in years, and I sure as hell missed them

@@featdirty1127 you could still run acog on many guns and the 2.0 is the same so i dont get the hype acog is so bad literally back in the days ppl would play as an attacker with holo. One week and ppl will start crying its a f nerf nobody will play ash acog everyone will use the reworked 1.5 cause acog is BAD

@@mokaneki36 again, running an ACOG was basically just making the game harder for yourself because it was worse than the 2x or 1.5, and not every operator who had a 1.5 or 2x had the ACOG. A more accurate title that would reflect the message better would be ACOG is back *for all the guns that didn’t have it,* which is not nearly as clickbaitable. And yes, people are gonna say it’s an L nerf, which is the point. It is a nerf because it makes the run and gun play style more difficult because you either dominate long range or close range but have no middle ground option to give you the best of both worlds I did also say nostalgia is throwing folks for a loop right?

@@featdirty1127 i played the tts and it doesnt feel like old siege its literally so ass with the slow ads idk i feel like run and gun will still be the game and i dont know why they wanna fix it first ppl would cry „everyone is sitting in one corner and holding angles“ then they nerfed goyo so ppl wont play behind shilds now they want this all back ? I literally dont get it i can run holo but the slowing the ads is the dead of siege i called it

acog basically didnt exist because you would never run it over the 1.5x, now that the 1.5x is removed people have a reason to run acog, also most operators didnt have acog it was only really hard support operators.
