@@tsoaku Leave? Yes, most would be there for the money but that's no excuse to not follow basic civil rules or morals. Mercs/PMCs in video games are usually the bad guys because everyone within the group cares enough about profit they're willing to do war crimes without questioning. Even if Kali runs out of money, even if some leave, they might still keep those morals. And depending on how much of a good/strong leader Kali and her soldiers might be, some might stay due of loyalty, respect or fear of being in the wrong side of a future conflict where Nighthaven is up and running again. Take TF2's comics for an example, eventually they're all fired and stop being paid, they leave to do new things and try to gain money but they couldn't make it far for many reasons but the main reason was that their old war was still going on, but this time, against Gray Mann. It was about more than just money.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but they're likely in it for the money. In the Shifting Tides trailer, you can hear Kali discussing high prices to a client, and then threatening to not help if they didn't pay up.
