This one was difficult. The white paint did not react as I had hoped with the black. The final painting was softer looking than expected. Still fun to experiment though!

Mixed 1 part paint to 3 parts medium
Swipe color: mixed 1 part paint to 3 parts Australian Floetrol

I really like seeing what doesn't work. Everyone showed what works, but that's not how we learn. I told my aunt that I was learning all about cells because that way I can control how and where they show up. My aunt was a professional artist. My uncle, her husband, was a teacher who was a master carpenter. His work was artistic he was so good. Both are retired now, but I love getting their input! It's not about getting everything right. It's about the process, enjoying that process and a bit of discovery! Thanks for letting us share your journey!

You can never understand artists (and that is how it is supposed to be). You seem not to have like this so much, but for me, it is one of my very favorite of the ones I watched you paint. It is as if one is looking from above the ocean, and there inside of it glowing, like lava, but with colors. Fantastic!

Hi Molly Having fun is what it's all about and I think the black & white cells are great. I see a green/yellow bird's head and beak and an orange snapping turtle about to strike. I know, my imagination is crazy!

This one is soo cool! The white lacing made it look mystical and like something from a fantasy or dream. It would be cool to do it again with silver, or add silver to the white to make even more mysterious. Love it Molly! Wow! That first swipe amazing. Stars shining through empty space. I would love to see a galactic painting inspired by space. I haven't seen you restart a painting before I like that you showed it. Not everyone knows they can try again. And now I see why you started over. This whole process is fascinating. I love these ones when you experiment. It's so fun. Spreading it out was magic. Your nothing is beautiful! It has great lacing and cells. The rainbow is awesome. A rainbow road flowing through space. I love it.

I am amazed how beautiful it ended up being. Please don't take as a negative but I do appreciate when you show your struggles, it makes me feel like I am not alone and a complete failure. You are such an amazing artist and you show not to give up right away because it could still turn out so beautiful, as this painting did.

I love watching what you call playing around and I called teaching but it is amazing because it shows us that no matter what we can be artistic as we want. And if something goes wrong just recreate. My brother told me today it's not like you're having to color in the lines because there are no lines so just have fun and recreate and if something goes wrong then just recreate again until you love it

It has great depth, looks like lava in a valcano. The hottest deep down view then as it cools it changes color.
