I've killed SO many of them just driving around to do quests but they never dropped a map but will give it a shot. What I have found tho, is if you are in an area doing a quest (like saving the lost Clerics) the maps drop more frequently than they do if I am just going around killing random enemies. May be just anecdotal but always seems to work for me. Thanks again for all your hard work!

Usually you dont even notice when you get a map.. at least I didn't... they show up so sneakily :P But you could have a point, not sure

@Oliver Seiler Aye I am on PS4 as well and it doesn't seem to work on PS4 (the topic of this video). EDIT: It does work. The fall rate is poor but it works.

Been doing this since the drop of the mod. Once you received the first map by driving around and hitting the mobs and seen how fast they respawn it’s rather quite obvious. I think the best part of this is when others actually pull up beside you to watch what it is that you are doing! Haha

Thanks for the tip, I will try to think about that. I personally never use coordinates tbh, and I would assume most new players don't do that either but I might be wrong ;-)

I found this "way" of farm almost 2 weeks ago, when I was trampling 666 banes to get the "Grinder of Demons" title.

hey rainer, do you think the upcoming weapon from the redeemed citadel is going to be better than this set? im hesitant to spend the (albeit not that bad amount of) time on my alt mains if thats going to be the case. especially if the weapons are a limited time thing with no return in sight. that will be a yikes if the personal progress is character-based though

If they are the same as before when in collections, they will be higher item level and have higher base weapon damage. Legion Guard weapons might help you with the grind though - this event is going to be long if I understand it correctly (months)

And it’s faster to just kill in grey knuckle camp. Or in scab so if u r strong enough do that

I highly doubt that - maybe if you're a super dps then yes - but you might need a health potion every now and then and stuff does not respawn as quickly as these manes. This is so much easier

I went through 400 Maps and still didn’t get anything. RNG wasn’t on my side. I opted to just go with the Hellfire Engine set.

If you combine the first two triple mane spawns you showed into one loop, you can get about 45 maps an hour. There is another more complicated route to describe that will give you about 50 maps an hour.

Im not actually sure its worth it.. the manes respawn quicker than you can do the loop.. maybe you get slightly more but it won't be a big difference... I did 2 and 3 mane group rounds btw

@@RainerNW The loop I'm doing now hits 9 manes at about three seconds after they spawn. Your way saves three seconds, true. But I like doing the larger loops just for the sake of sanity. Just going backwards and forwards over the same spot for an hour or more is incredibly boring. Doing the larger loops is a lot more fun.

If nobody is in the area I typically do an 8 mane loop, might be slightly more efficient but you'd be hoarding 2 spawns. At this point though it doesnt really matter... everyone is doing BHEs :D

Do you need any quest active/progressed to get these maps? I have access to this area and the war machine but I haven’t gone very far in the campaign, can I still do this?

Does this still work with the car?? Update still works. Figured out if you kill 54 little guys you get a map. Tested it twice and that's the number

I found a road pattern to run over manes, yesterday I got 98 maps in 2 hours and 30 minutes, could have got more, but a few people were farming spawn spots. I'm farming maps to get my Pants of the Sentinel, which gives 3.8-4k defense. But it's getting annoying to loot like 10-12 weapon sets lol

I actually got the sentinel pants this morning or was it yesterday? Hmm but yea you can get very lucky with the amount of maps... I sometimes also run over 2 triple groups but im not sure its so much better

@@RainerNW sometimes you can get two maps from the trio groups. At least for me, the drop rate is so much better than farming other areas. I killed enemies around 30 min and get just 2-3 maps lol

Wait I know that in real life you aren't supposed to hit and run, but why would it be bannable in NW?! This is a regular NW mechanic and you even get achievements at 6, 66 and 666 manes killed

@@RainerNW the thing is, it seems bannable because it basically exploits the high mane spawn rate to your advantage. But i'm interested in the achievement and I dunno if i should go for it or not. How likely do you think are we to experience a ban wave for this?

Not bad. Still works, too. But after 20 maps or so, I got motion sickness. Sigh. Also, i found a place where two groups of mobs spawn close to each other, so it's even faster.

If u are using under mountain starter gear u won’t be able to get into that area cus u can’t do entry quests

You can always group up to do entry quests. With 2 people even with undermountain gear it should be fine ;-)

Why would this be an exploit...? You get 3 achievements for killing manes, they are not going to ban people for killing manes...

Hmm strange that its not working for you.... I put in the timelapse in the video to actually show how well this works - there must be something off then
