I am sure you know potatoes like well drained soil. Here in CA the best place is the sand around Bakersfield and Arvin - in Idaho the volcanic soil in the Snake River Valley is ideal for spuds and sugar beets. I learn a lot from your channel - keep up the good work.

I think you sent Joel to go look for right handed blinker fluid, and he's still looking... or he's on vacation due to the stress of not finding the left handed blinker fluid either... lol!!! Love homemade fries and chips are just the icing.. so I end up having both on a plate with gravy, cheese, and some burger. (known as a poutine supreme) (poutine= poo-tin). It's a Canadian thing.. lol Looking like there's still a ton of tomatoes on the vine, and still lots of pumpkins (or are those ones left for feeding the deer?) .

My pap raised pumpkins here in schuylkill county in the late 80’s and early 90’s. He shot A LOT of deer for crop damage. One bite ruins a pumpkin so the deer can devastate a pumpkin crop.

Duck fat roasted potatoes. Par boil your peeled, chunked potatoes in salted water with a quartered lemon, drain and dry well. Heat duck fat in a metal roasting tin until shimmering. Add rosemary and chopped garlic and add potatoes and coat well. Put into a very hot oven and turn every half hour until the outsides are beautiful and golden. You can use beef lard which works just as well.
