Hi Everyone!
A few weeks back I was having one of the busiest work weeks. I had flashbacks of me walking in Redwoods on a rainy day. I was dreaming about the smell of the forest and hearing the sound of rain during a meeting. It was getting pretty crazy especially by end of Friday. I checked the weather report and saw it was going to rain during weekend in Orick. That was IT! Nothing could stop me at that point.
I hit the the road in midnight. After a 6 hours drive, I was in Orick around 6 AM. Started my hike alone and for the first 3 hours I haven't seen anyone else. I was exactly at where I imagined to be all week long. Peaceful and happy. I didn't sleep all night but didn't feel sleepy at all.
So, that is pretty much the whole story about how this trip happened. Imagining to be in Redwoods in rain and getting there without thinking too much.
I ended up hiking around 20 miles in 2 days. Not bad for a man working at home long hours and not doing anything else than looking at a computer screen all week.
Redwoods... Rain dropping on leaves, big trees surrounded by mist, dense forest, muddy trails, rivers, creeks, birds... I don't think any video can describe the feeling of a misty morning in a lush Redwood forest.
And yeah I used a camera, some lenses and some other stuff... I think trend in YT is telling people what camera is the best, what they need to buy etc. I seriously think all recent cameras are awesome. There are minor differences in between them. In my opinion, everyone should chose whatever camera is best for them and I am in no position of knowing that. I use what is available to me. Thankfully I have access to new cameras. I enjoy trying them but it is just for fun. Please don't think that I am using a piece of gear because it is the best out there.
Fuji is good, Sony is good, Canon is good, Nikon is good, Panasonic is good, BlackMagic is good... There is no need to compare them and lose time. I really don't care. If someone sends me Nikon Z series camera I am sure I can create similar stuff with it.
I hope you all have a great day and enjoy this almost silent ambient road trip video!
