The pancake places are great, but my favorite is Crockett’s Breakfast Camp. And too much syrup will never mess up your pancakes 😉. On a rainy day, I enjoy hitting the arts and crafts community.

One of my faves in Gatlinburg is Star Cars. And in the Mountain Mall, Aunt Mahalia's candy shop and the NY pizza place are great.

Little House of Pancakes is excellent!! It is a local joint away from the downtown bustle of Gatlinburg. I highly recommend it!!

And now you know why they are called the Smoky Mountains :) The Space Needle has been there forever. We used to go up there all the time when we were kids. One of the old Gatlinburg attractions still hanging around.

Next time you go to pigeon forge/gatlinburg you have to go to cades cove to see the black bears! An awesome drive and beautiful scenery! Also try pancakes pantry and the peddler steakhouse. Our favorites!

We still remember a Party for the Senses at EPCOT F&W that rained so hard they actually started a Facebook group for those to stay in touch that survived standing in line during that Florida Super Soaker...

I'm glad ya'll are enjoying your mountain trip. I just wanted to let you know, I love that you show all the details and explain everything in detail. Thank you for all of your hard work. You and Sam are great. I have been to the mountains thousands of times and it never gets old seeing the beauty of God's creations. The Old Smoky Candy Kitchen is my favorite candy store. The Slice at the bottom of the Space Needle has good pizza and Fanny Farkles has huge corn dogs and good steak sandwiches. Kilwin's for chocolate. Caramel corn for, you guessed it,, Caramel corn. Auntie Annes's for cinnamon bon cinnamon rolls. Just giving you some ideas. Since I have been so many times, I hang out on the back roads and adventure over to eastern TN and western NC. It's like visitors here to us on the central California coast--we get a lot of foggy days, occasionally damp days, keeping people from the beach...but there is so much more to see and do. And enjoy. Of all the trips I have been to Gatlinburg, I have never gone to the top of the space needle. The view was great. That round hotel off in the distance above the town is where my wife and I stayed one trip. It has an indoor pool. It was nice.

That rain looked cold and yet kinda refreshing. I'm glad that you were still able to find things to do on such a wet day.

I really wanna do Log Cabin. Sounds so good! But we found Sawyers Farmhouse Breakfast in Pigeon Forge. They had incredible crepes. Next time, I'll try Log Cabin. You try Sawyers, k?

I miss that area so much! We used to go there every summer in the 80's for family vacations because my aunt and uncle owned a campground in Townsend and later they owned log cabins that we stayed in. I'd love to see you do a video in Cades Cove! We used to get chicken from Bojangles and drive up there to have a picnic. At the campground we'd rent innertubes and ride down the rapids on the river that was right there and and also go horseback riding on days we didn't spend in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. This brings back so many memories, thanks for always taking us along. It's really fun to see how the area has changed.

I think that bear statue in front of the mall is a take on the hillbilly bears cartoon. That specifically is pa bear. Pa bear is supposed to mumble incoherently with a few decent words heard.

We didn't spend anywhere near enough time in Gatlinburg during our visit! It was sooooo busy and we only had one day in the town proper, so all that we were able to do was visit Ripley's Aquarium and Skylift Park. We did walk through the mountain mall, but didn't really stop to investigate any particular store. Needless to say, we have a lot to go back and see next time! Fluffy pancakes are the best pancakes, but you definitely went hard on that syrup. 😂 I never would have believed that peppermint taffy was made that way if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes in this vlog. That is one slow ride up the Needle! Proud of you for braving the ascent to the top despite your fear of heights, Jackie. The views were definitely worth it, and you had those views all to yourself, too! 28:30 What kind of freakish Tennessee nightmare is that horse 😱 So glad that you were able to make the most of a rainy day in Gatlinburg. Although it stinks to have your plans rained out, you said it best earlier on in the video - in any weather, the Smoky Mountains are still beautiful. Thanks, as always, for sharing!

My favorite at the Friar is the glazed croissants 🤤 Also, the coffee shop next door is the best coffee in town.

I have seen the Space Needle since I was a kid. I have never been able to bring myself to go up. I have stayed in that round hotel up on the mountain. The south view on the needle showed it. As beautiful as the view is taking the tram to Ober, I would have to say that the Space Needle view was ten times better because it was a 360-degree view. They shoot fireworks from the space needle on the fourth of July. My grandson and I rented a hotel room on the main drag and watched the fireworks last year. He made a homemade toy raft and raced it down the river from about the sky lift down to the aquarium. It's a big thing for kids on that day. It was a great grandmother/grandson day. Thank you for showing me things that I haven't even done, and I've lived here all my life. I'm going to have to try some of these things. I told my daughter about the restaurant in Pigeon Forge with all the animatronic hens. It sounds like a hoot.

My wife wants to know about your lipstick. Been in that Buc-ees. Never saw it that empty.

The resturant reminds me of Cracker Barrel the portion of the food looked massive and well themed and it always is bad when it rains especially when you travel.

Jackie, if you love cute little towns, you need to visit Cape May. They have adorable bed and breakfasts, and adorable shops on Washington Street mall. Then, you can visit the CM lighthouse and then take a ferry over to Delaware. Would love to see this vid from you guys!

Hi guys! So my family has been going to Gatlinburg since I was about nine. So almost 37 years! Some of my favorite memories as a kid were staying at the Mountainhouse Motor Lodge (still there!), eating breakfast at the Pancake Pantry, going to Ober Gatlinburg, and definitely the haunted house! I really enjoyed watching you guys do the Space needle. It all brings back so many memories. I always appreciate you taking us with you! ❤❤ The last time I was there we went to Cooters, which is where Anakeesta is now. It had the craziest indoor miniature golf upstairs lol.

I remember seeing the same Stinky Feet game in the casino of Margaritaville resort in Biloxi. Memorable to say the least! 😂 looks like a cozy, great day in the rain!

Hope you enjoyed your trip to the Gatlinburg area. My favorite thing was when you got your creamer at Bucc-ees. We were just in F.L. for HHN and Food & Wine. Had coffee at Racetrack. Those are pretty nice machines there for coffee. Keep up the great work, we watch you and Sam every video. My son stopped you leaving EPCOT on July 4th and had a picture with both of you. He was so excited!
