New horn, why not test er out with a new leader garden hose I got from the Home Depot

Recently got all the parts I needed and built a Gen4 K5LLA! I also have 2 Gen3's and an early two piece 1L K5LLA in my collection as well! Great video!

This horn and the K5HL are my all-time favorite air horns! I wonder what it would sound like if Norfolk Southern reversed only the number two Bell and faced it forward and all the other bells faced backwards like a k5hl

DieselSmoke92 that small tank is a puny 5 gallon tank, the horn is very efficient haha I’m kidding haha there’s also 2, 11 gallon tanks hooked up

I have a PVC made K5LLA with tuned diaphragms on a 30 gallon 200psi tank, 3/4 hose running through my ford crown victoria to a ball valve and then to the horns, 128 decibals at 128psi to them

watch out, 200psi can blow the plastic up, i hope you have a regulator this current setup, im simply running 27 gallons with a 3/4 ball valve with a standard garden hose going to the horn lol

yup don't worry I have a 3/4 regulator I don't send anymore then 130max to the horns. Can't wait to see how long I can blow them with the 30 gallon tank, haven't done it yet, right now I have a 12 gallon that doesn't even blow them past 115psi

This K5LLA came from an SD-70MAC that was scrapped (kept blowing turbos and other prime mover issues. horn was mounted for a month and a half before removed and placed on a shelf before a maintenance guy purchased it from them, sold it to me

Lol if you bought this from someone in that new of condition whoever had it before you stole it off the locomotive. Not that hard to figure that one out. UP doesnt just take off this new of a horn. Just a thought. I mean seriously the paint on that horn looks brand new

surprisingly i dont have any 3 chime horns yet, i have 6 5 chime horns. all i need is a K3 manifold a k3la is on my list of horns to get, dont know when but it is on my list

i had a k3 a while back but the mounting flange was beyond repairable, so i simply sold that horn not long after

I have a canadian tuned k3l, I swapped a 3a bell of my k5lla to make a k3la and it was almost as loud as my k5lla :D

3rd gen K5LLA horn will be given and replace the old horn by new horn on Csx 5373 Csx 5409 and Csx 5410 perhaps you can give 3rd gen K5LLA horn to Csx train conductor and Csx train driver as a surprise because the k5hl horn is getting old sick and worn out how would you like it Nick Silcox?

Joshua George Any hardware or garden store should sell them. It’s a standard 6 foot garden hose that typically goes from the faucet to a hose reel

And,/…imagine doing this at/@ the school pep galleys. People not wearing protection or protective hearing/ear stuff, would definitely be nt broke lke I almost started to say, bt,/…dead, because gyms are are already pretty echoey like this, nt wth out walls. So,/…it’s leave the horn, come out, bounce of dnt objects, then,/…keep multiplying and multiplying and so on until it stopped or stops or so. Bt still,/..,it’s be so fckin/freakin or fcking loud, I’d thght tht I’d want 1/one of these jst because it’s be cool to have or so, and we hear them slot, and they kinda sound like this when it’s at/@ a or 1/one mile or so, bt still,/…I only had the volume mane a little over half, and less up and down changing it, and my ears still/xnd or actually knda hurt or so. So loud
