I am an Ilocana but I am still enchanted of how beautiful Ilocos Norte is. I also found myself in tears of how captivating the stories of these people (who works to preserve our culture) are. Sometimes, artists, craftsmen, and other workers are not given the voice and recognition. This video for sure have touched the hearts of these workers and was once again reminded of how great their contribution is to our country. Each time I see her showcasing our culture and hidden gems, I cant help but to fall in love deeper and deeper sa mahal nating Pilipinas. I even bought a mask that is locally weaved because of her and I am very happy to think that through buying local products, I am supporting our kababayans who need help and lowkey promoting our beautiful culture too hahaha I fell in love with our Philippine textile because of her. I even started to tour around the country and I cant help but to be amazed that this is my country. It is indeed a paradise despite all of its flaws. I just hope all of us could see the beauty of the Philippines because it is indeed a beaut!❤

Napakahusay nyo lahat. Grabe yung feels. Yung buong production napakagaling. Kuhang kuha nyo yung spirit ng Ilocos Norte, yung culture, language, music, yung mga tao, yung landscape, views, the food. Ibang level yung pagdocument nyo. Bilang Ilocano ako (although Pangasinan version, iba yung Ilocano ng Ilocos, yung words nila mas malalim kesa sa Ilocano namin), this video made me more proud of my Ilocano heritage. Congrats to the whole team. You guys really raised our flag. And Catriona, you were such a great host, your delivery of the Ilocano language was impressive.

As a US born and raised American Filipino, I have always wondered what life must have been like for my grandparents and previous generations. My grandparents (May they rest peacefully) always spoke highly about the people of northern PH. Me being an Ilocano since birth, I just learned here that dinengdeng and inabraw are just the same dish! All my life I thought those two are different dishes 😅 hahaha. Plus the info that inabraw is a verb meaning “to cook in broth”.
