What a lovely family you are. I read some of the negative comments about the uk,some are true,some are not. Personally l think education standards have improved for children over the last 40 years because teachers are scrutinised to ensure all children in school are given better support. Also in the past many institutions use to use severe violence against children including the police,now they are held too account.Children were also sexually abused aswell as people with learning disabilities by governmental institutions and the church. Racism use to be far more prevalent in british society. Children have far more diverse career opportunities and support than when l was a kid. So do not be too alarmed. Children were also far more abused at home in my day,now people are more likely too report. Some European countries use too be safer than the uk but not anymore. Your child given love,compassion and direction can do very well in the 🇬🇧. Do not listen to people who think 40 or 50 years ago Britain was a better society it was not. Abuse was hidden or tolerated,now it is less so. But like anywhere there are problem areas and problem people,but there are also nice areas and nice people just like yourselves. Your daughter is very cute. My daughter is now 12 years of age but sometimes l wish l could rewind the clock back to your child's age where she still needed lots of hugs off daddy and wanted too hold my hand. Also the nhs has always had problems,waiting lists,bed queues,even when l was a kid in the 1970s's this was so. Covid has had a major impact on the nhs in a way it has never had to endure before. It will take a few more years to get back to normal. But l for one am thankful nhs is free. If you are old,can not work then it is in essence absolutely free. If your child needs emergency treatment there is no £5000 bill to pay for the service.So be positive and welcome too the British family.

Hi Colin! Thank you for watching and appreciate your nice words. Your inputs are really valuable to those who are looking at raising their family in the UK as an option. Every family is different and unique. As for mine, we are thankful to be here in the UK - there are pros and cons but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Im sure your daughter is lucky to have you as her father. God bless you and your family. :)

I'm an Englishman and couldn't wait to get out of the UK and educate my children in the Philippines. Like many Filipinos and foreigners you state these things are 'free', they are not. It's a myth. Free healthcare does not exist you pay for it via NI contributions, as you state. As a retired dentist myself, if you can find an NHS dentist you are lucky. You pay through your nose in tax for all these services. Education standards are far better in the Philippines as children learn manners and respect. There are none in the UK now. 40 years ago maybe, but no longer. I feel safer in Tondo than any UK city where senseless violent crime has increased dramatically and since Tony Blair expanded tertiary education (to hide youth unemployment) academic standards have plummeted. The Russell Group Universities are declining in status and the dumbing down noticeable. The top five educational systems are all now in the Far East. The UK is cold, grey and miserable for most of the year and the British have no family values today. The one thing I notice in the Philippines is respect for the elderly which is why thousands of Westerners retire to the Philippines.. But, if you want to see discrimination, go to the Philippines! I'm always a 'foreigner'!! The problem you'll have with your child is she will never 'belong' anywhere, in the UK or the Philippines and that's the crunch. Good luck..
@unitedkabayan1519
@unitedkabayan1519 2 жыл бұрын
Hi John! Thank you for watching. I really appreciate that you feel that way about the Philippines. I love my country and it will always be my first home. I’ve mentioned the free benefits and said that we pay it in some form of contribution that’s why I don’t mind paying my taxes here. Unfortunately, I was also a tax payer in the Philippines for 20 years but I never enjoyed any of those benefits. I’m really hoping that someday the system will improve because Filipinos deserve better. My husband was born and raised here and went to UCL and Oxford University, God willing, thats the same kind of path we want for our daughter. Glad you mentioned about Tondo, because my family is from Tondo and I myself was born there and yes I also feel safe there. I agree that there are senseless crimes in the UK like I’ve seen in the news, which is unfortunately happening in any country. I feel blessed that we have found a neighbourhood in the Uk where we feel safe. And yes, Filipinos think highly and respect our elders. That’s the Filipino value we never want to lose and pass it on to our children. We believe it is possible as that is how my husband was raised and his siblings. You seem to know so much about the Philippines and love it there but you still like a foreigner. I’m sorry to hear about that but for sure you are always treated with our very warm hospitality. As for our child, hopefully she will never feel like a foreigner as she will be surrounded with families and friends both in Uk and in the Philippines. Thank you again for your feedback, much appreciated. Take care.

@@unitedkabayan1519 You raise very interesting points. The Philippines is not a poor country, but a poorly managed one, as the UK is now becoming. It wasn't always so. When I was a child the UK was a manufacturing hub, now we don't even produce our own toilet paper and once the banking sector relocates to Singapore/Far East that'll be it. Our healthcare is appalling and consists of dying on a waiting list. The UK has 2.5 hospital beds/1000 (Germany has 8, Belarus 11.. BMJ Sept 2020) but we keep deluding ourselves it is good as we lie on trolleys in corridors, trying to find a nurse. (...and the only good ones are Filipinas!) In the Philippines if I need to see a doctor, I pop along when it suits me, same day, pay Php600 and get an appointment. Here.. no chance, yet I've already paid £1,000's for the last 30 years! I have a teenage daughter with Down syndrome and we never received an ounce of support or assistance in the UK. None, hindi, nada, zip. Just endless pointless meetings. In the Philippines we got a PWD card from the Barangay first month. We go anywhere in Paranaque she is treated like a Queen. Front of any queue just like the Seniors, immediate discount at Jollibee & McDonalds. We even get a weekly grocery discount at ShopWise and during the pandemic officials visited home to give her rice & a monthly allowance of Php500!! In the UK she's gawped at as a freak, in Sucat the kids treat her as an equal. In the UK, sweet FA. The Welfare State is a complete myth that only foreigners still believe exists! In 1970 there were US$4 : £, now about US$1.2 : £. We just survive on a past. We used to have a good unarmed police force, now totally rotten. We used to have honest politicians, now corrupt to the core. Once our schools were held in high esteem, now they are just places where parents dump kids and teachers struggle with riot control. Bright kids can't progress. The Philippine Science High Schools (like our old Grammar Schools) easily outclass anything in the UK. But don't talk to me about racism... as only Filipinos can attend! Try doing that in the UK. I walk down any High Street in the Philippines and it is full of colour, street food, smiling traders, laughter and bustle. In the UK, boarded up derelict shops or Oxfam outlets, vomit, graffiti, miserable beggars and the risk of getting stabbed. In my birth town (Aldershot) few now speak English. No, you can keep it, I'll sit on the beach on Carabao Island catching the warm breeze with a Tanduay & calamansi, a natter with Tatay & Nanay, and watch my kids play happily in the sand. The UK is not a democracy but an elected dictatorship, we have an unelected Head of State from a dodgy Germano-Greek family, one of whom is a nonce and the next in line talks to cabbages. Almost our entire cabinet are non-indigenous (try that in the Philippines!) and even our useless PM is actually an American. The English have no representative body at all, whilst Scotland, Wales & NI do... now do you see why the English are fed up and leaving in droves? At my last Bristol alumni reunion over a third now lived abroad. On a 'happiness' scale the Philippines ranks 3rd (Gallup Poll) way, way ahead of the UK. .. and has one of the fastest growing economies in ASEAN. Next time you visit a UK Mall.. count the smiles! Jeez.. I could go on!

@@johnbobson1557 Hello John. I’m a Filipino American. Dual citizen of the Philippines and the US. Thanks for sharing your view of the UK. If I could live in London for a year, from the looks of it I’d want that compared to here in the US. Sorry that you’re in that situation. I’m not a history expert at all. Filipinos can be discriminating but that’s primarily from their own ignorance. They are a highly indoctrinated bunch. There is so much corruption in government. Media deception. Based on your comment I think you understand well. Luzonians rule the country in numbers. Tribal clashes are ignored in politics. The invisible struggle for power and control nobody acknowledges. It’s not merely political lines. There is nepotism, oppression and lies. Yes on the whole they’re harmonious and cooperative for the common good. The Spanish and Americans integrated a one Filipino people/identity without regard to how the locals may feel. Without a referendum. Americans historically saw them as sub-human anyway. As offensive as that sounds. The catholic institution there is very powerful. Trust me the US is not a great place. In fact the whole Anglosphere is getting worse not just the UK. I haven’t been to the UK and I always wanted to go. Not all places in the US is like a Hawaiian paradise. I want to see what London is like. And all of the EU. I believe Germany looks like a nice place to live.

You also need to qualify to a bank loan/mortgage if you will not pay in cash. Remember in shared ownership, to don’t fully own the property. We will try to make a video about purchasing a property in the uk soon. Hope your plans will eventually materialise. Good luck :)

@@joannadomingo9993 No worries. Kung for proper school na, ang alam ko government ang mag assign kung Saan ang school ng anak mo. Priority school is yung pinaka Malapit sa location nyo. If walang available nearest to you place, they will find somewhere na Malapit. Baka yung sinasabi ng friend mo is for nursery or parang day care, limited nga Lang ang slot dun and you do it on your own.
