Yellowstone is a contemporary show, the spin-offs are set in different time periods. If you don't like it try Damages. It's several years old but insanely entertaining and IMHO a better show. Similar "boss" vibes.

If you have Apple TV, I just binged watched all the seasons of “For All Mankind”, it’s so good, it’s based off the 1st moon landing and all the astronauts and other flights etc, it mixes facts and real reels along with its storyline, it was so good, I loved it👍👍👍 PS: I only heard abt the Loretta Lynn radio thing, horny from bologna, from watching the movie, Cole Minor’s Daughter, a great movie🙏
