I have bipolar and wonder about my son, who is seven. It's hard to tell with him because he is autistic and has ADHD. When he's "up" is it mania or the normal euphoria a child can feel, or even just his ADHD? He has weird crying spells at times, but is that his autism? Is he having flashbacks? He has periods of being very angry and irritable, which sounds like the mixed states she describes here. I don't know that he's ever hallucinated though he's terribly afraid of the ice cream truck because of the music it plays and last week he had me make a video of it driving by and he has been playing the video on the computer over and over to where he hears it now even when it's not playing. All these things are odd but he's never been typical since he has autism. Should I worry?
