Jason is getting ready to build a new home for my wife and yours truly in Niceville, Florida. Moving to Niceville from Louisville, Kentucky to be closer to our older daughter. Working with Jason has been a pleasure. I was taken back when I found this video on KZfaq. Small world we live in knowing our builder is on KZfaq sharing one of his project with everyone.

I started to cry because those people were so blessed and lucky to have so many people being able to do that in such a small amount of time if we have more men like that trust and believe you will be making money hand over foot at the same time people would be able to afford to live in Better Homes God bless you

We see comments , from people who don't know what they are talking about. What I see, it is an entrepreneur who is caring for is customer and make sur job is less invasive as possible to the home owner. What need to be understand is that a lot of work been done that we don't see on the video. All the joist for the floor we're done before that day, I feel secur that they screw all the hold joinst which hold the first floor ceiling to the new one which prévent damage.Also Wall we're prebuilt. His procedure allow minimal time keeping the house open to rain damage.

Thanks for the support David, though I personally cannot take credit for the work, only the video! The actual job was performed in the manner you suggested by John Bryson and crew of Attleboro, MA. Their website is at www.JMBryson.com

+Richard Gagnon good job brother!!!! I guess people don't realize that's why there's a such thing as code inspection to make sure the house doesn't fall down the next day or anytime after that. I'd feel safe living there and I'm on the construction industry.

They do it every day and have for centuries. Not exactly new. But I have seen it done using a pallet lift truck (lifts and trusses, sheets plywood, boxes of shingles, etc) to a roof or use of a crane to do the same. A friend had her’s done..ordered a prefab built in a factory no waste etc already sheathed etc and was lifted by crane on top of the 1st floor and then hurricane tied into the original structure. All the same lumber and joinery, etc but better, more accuracy because in the factory it was covered and everything was done to very exact specs by accurate machines. They can work year round no weather issues. And when they get to the job site it goes on fast so less chance of weather damage to lower story plus it is so fast. Have seen 3500 sq ft go up in a day 1/2. Coordination of resources and timing is critical.

@laurieclarkson9180
@laurieclarkson9180 7 жыл бұрын
It's not too difficult to frame the walls yourself and you'd save a ton of money. There are lots of framing videos on here. Tools can be an issue if you don't have them, but a good old fashioned hammer has worked for many people. You can also rent saws and other power tools from your local hardware store.

Juan Ramirez codes required them to make sure there is support to hold the second floor alot of work not shown on the video was done to make this happen it just makes it easier to do it this way and makes life easier for the owner where less time of not being able to stay inda home it cut down dramatically

You can see the new floor joists were already in. 2x4 walls have no problems supporting a second floor. Most foundations are overbuilt so many times there isn't a whole lot more to make the house capable of another floor because it already is in most cases.

+ndleinahaystack I supose you are also american or something. becouse this is cheap building. in my conutry we build wood hause with full log not some 5x6cm plank stacked together. and it does make sense if you have brain to figure it out. when you have huricanes in america its a disaster and we have wind we call " bura" bog te jebo. which are same speed and nothing hepends to any hause. cuz we build them strong. as i said. my shed is stronger than this crap build

@Ivan-Brzi
@Ivan-Brzi 8 жыл бұрын
+ndleinahaystack ofc I have. and as i said. when we build eco friendly hauses we use full logs or half log with 25x25 beam supostrs. I know that not everyehere is tordado aley, but americans build hauses like this everywhere. even where is tornado aley. and then cry when some mid. speed wind blows half of their hause. most of our hauses are solid brick 25x12x6 in dublle rows build like bunkers.
