I love this ZDX way more than the Lyriq, but they have to lower the MSRP around 10k. The Prologue is a much better deal, my local dealer is already discounting them 11k off MSRP.

I gotta say Cadillac did it better. Not to mention Cadillac have a nicer interior but the Acura is still the same price and has the same GM quality. I see no benefit going with Acura unless you want the Type S.

Joe, the new ZDX (an EV MDX) is nice looking (as many new EVs are - exccept Tesla in my book), BUT this will be another Dealer Lot Filler. IMHO, for now anyway, Acura has wasted $$$$$ resources for a vehicle that will have limited interest. I've posted in many MDX YT sites / reviews including Joe Raiti's , IMHO, Acura should have produced the newly designed MDX in a Sport Hybrid Model. The older 2018-2020 was a terrific model using the 3.0L engine with small electric motor boost which produced over 300 HP , grreater Torque than the 3.5 Engine (I have a 22 MDX Advance - had a 2019 MDX Advance before that) , 15% better MPGs!! For just a $1800 cost. That woukd be a No-Brainer. In fact, I would be confident that Acura would have produced an enhanced version of that Sport Hybrid . EVs I gueess have their place in select usages. They are Glorified and Very Expensive Electric Golf Carts with expensive, heavy Batteries with the risk of major fires, and causing a newe neurosis called Battery Anxiety. I'm veery interested to see if Acura produces a gas/Electric Hybrid for nthe new 25 RDX!

So it has double the HP of a BZ4X but the same 0-60 time? There has to be a glitch in how these EVs are getting timed for 0-60. Every EV I have driven feels like it runs circles around fast ICE cars, yet the times are comparable on paper. Somebody tell me I'm not crazy here.

I’m a big Acura fan. I’ve had 5 in my life, but this is a soulless, parts bin, bastard Acura. Not a fan.

It's a very nice vehicle , but the commentator kept comparing it to the Blazer ev and that's wrong . This is an Acura , which makes it Honda's luxury representative , so it should be compared to the Lyriq . And I respect everyone's opinions on what beauty is to them . But I would choose the Lyriq over this vehicle and it's not even close . And honestly I would choose the Blazer ev Rally Sport version over this vehicle as well . But that's my opinion and I definitely understand how someone can prefer the Acura . I'm just happy that evs are already far superior to the I.C.E. counterparts after such a short time of existence . They can go faster with half the horsepower , maintenance frequency and cost is a lot less , oh and don't forget zero emissions as we try to save the world for our grandchildren . Thanks Acura for this product , I'm sure that it's going to do well , because of the reputation of the brand itself . Peace to the world , I'm off to get a bowl of Creole gumbo , that's the way love goes people and I'm out 🎭

Right from the get go it's already a lemon.

I am beyond dissapointed what is coming out lately from ACURA. They struggled for years, to come back with nicer design that seems to age Ok (nothing great), but going to GM and "collab-ing" this abomination to slap Acura badges on - especially assymetric front lower grill because of those sensors... NO THANK YOU!! When a BMW X3 M40i or even BMW X5 Xdrive 40i costs less than Acura SUVs and offer QUITE A LOT... time to go back to square 1 Acura...

I was at an Acura dealership this past weekend and got to see the ZDX……..To me the interior looks cheap and very plastic looking up close. Also I had a conversation with one of the sales staff and they told me that they had sold some of the first few in the country. He also said they had received quite a few ZDX’s with quality control issues such as paint…….gapping panels………Mismatched badges and some other related issues. All in all we both agreed that Acura tying itself to GM with the ZDX was probably a mistake and they should have just waited to build their own. Let’s see if they iron out the production issues which I’m guessing they will. I wish Acura had went the hybrid route first. They had both the NSX and the MDX Hybrid which were some of the best vehicles they had ever made. I could just imagine a 3.5 liter V6 MDX tuned down from its application in the NSX making over 450 horsepower. I just don’t see the ZDX selling well.

I have been unimpressed with Acura for a few years. Acura became too much American not enough Japanese input, in fact there is zero Japanese input. At that point, the Lyriq would be my choice.

Likely the most poorly designed looking door panels I've seen in quite a while. Everyting else is just....ok. Nothing standing out in terms of quality or function. It seems ok. For 70k tho? Honda and Acura always refuse to equip lower trims with a 360-degree camera; only the top trims have it. Even for midsize SUVs, It's really unbelievable.

Is the ZDX better than the Cadillac Lyriq? NO ! The Acura ZDX is nice but is not as elegant as a Cadillac Lyriq, the ZDX's instrument cluster and infotainment both have a cheap (glued onto the dash look). The Cadillac Lyriq has an (one piece 33 inch) curved instrument and infotainment center with super high 9k resolution and you can get Supercruise and the exterior and interior of the Lyriq is beautiful to look at.

So GM knowingly partnered with competition wanting to make a competitor to GM’s own car??
