The CR-V is one of Honda's top selling vehicles. On the outside of the Sport you will discover 19in wheels, unique front fascia and raised roof rails. On the inside you will be welcomed by leather seating and a 9in infotainment screen. Under the hood is a 2.0L inline-4 paired with an electric motor & mated to a direct transmission. I agree! One of the most reliable engines ever. What if they put the 2.0 turbo in this CR-V? I'd buy one today! I know that's why Acura has the RDX, but just a thought.

@@titaniumspecial4207it really does not matter. I had an Accord with 2.4 liter, it made around 160 hp, but it was so much fun to drive. This new CRV lost all of that. It does not drive fun, interior is so cheap it feels worse than Korean cars. I hope Honda comes back at least to what they used to be 20 years ago.

Joe Raiti I agree to get the area around the fender opening painted! That section always gets weathered out and dull and you need to apply some chemical product to get the shine back.

Absolutely beautiful car. The last one looked good and I drove about 30k miles behind the wheel of one. It was great and the winter performance was amazing. This new one here though looks even better and I'm sure performs just as good knowing honda.

It was good is the key word. New CRV feels worse than those 20 years ago. I had one and I loved it bigly. This one is so behind the times, I just feel sad. It is not worth 38k MSRP, but people keep buying them.

Yeah it definitely needs fog/running lamps. An "L" shaped one to go where the indent is on the sides of the front bumper would look great. Or even halo lamps for those openings on the bottom of the front bumper.

Totally agree with you on that fender wheel molding, if it’s black & not body colored, it makes the vehicle looks cheap. I hope that trend would stop bcz it looks aweful

8:56 Joe, I love that this vehicle has a door that covers its bottom. It keeps your pants leg clean on rainy days. The BMW X5 famously does not and I hate it. Would you please point this out to folks. Bring it to their attention (doesn't readily come to most minds). Thanks

Driving one of these for last 7 months. I like to mention that this car has a massive apple/android auto disconnect problem. I have to use a phone mount now because car play connection keeps disconnecting. Obviously you can’t find out these sort of problems during a short review. Apart from that love the car. It’s awesome

I agree on the wheel weld mounding should be painted as the body. The tail light turn signals should’ve been LED as well. The fake exhaust just blew me!

I have a 2023 model gas and dang it I want that dash board and side of the doors that not glossy black. The 23 model is a magnet for finger prints and dust.

Love my 24 Sport Touring. Wish it had tilted mirrors when I parallel park and maybe pano roof , other than that love it. It’s got nice pep in sport mode feels like it has more horses than it does.

I wish it would drive like a Honda, but it does not. It drives like an appliance, the screen inside is straight from 1995. I miss the old CRVs that actually drove sporty with that familiar iVTEC sound.

@@mitch.ricooo why would it be so much more expensive? We have free trade agreement with Mexico, BYD is already building a factory in Mexico and Mexican labor is very cheap. EVs do not need many parts, so assembly is way cheaper than ICE cars.

I think the flat back wheel well fender looks better then painted. Kia has an EV with black paint and it kind of looks cheap. I use to think painted looks better but only if it's the same color as the body

I test drove the rav4 trail and crv hybrid touring....CRV is so much quieter on the highway the engine was so noisy in the RAV4 when i went to pick up speed.

Two things that make this a no-go for me. 1) In order to remove the radiator it can only be remved from the bottom so you need a lift. 2) To remove the water pump you need to recover the expensive r1234a refridgerant and remove the compressor before you can get to the water pump. I've owned Hondas for 20+ years and have not seen a more assinine design ever feom this company.

Out of curiosity, why do you say that Toyota needs to redesign the Rav4? The current generation Rav4 STILL offers more features than the "new" generation CRV, along with providing more power & better fuel economy in the standard gas model & the hybrid model.

Hybrids dont get the reverse high/low mieage in city vs highway. Just like gas engines, mpg is best when cruising 40-60. I’ve had 7 hybrids so i know.

I still want the drive train of the toyola in this new crv. so much more comfortable roomy inside and nicer layout.. What doesn't tow as much. And I'm a huge Toyota fan. I'm waiting for One or the other two upgrade or change. Toyota doing better with their interior making it room here and simpler. And the bed in the hybrid. Not being flat was the killer that really stopped me from looking more. Love how this guy points out the things that he zonks. Nice

Looking into trading our 22 accord every day driver for an SUV. Honda or Toyota and ICE only. Disappointed with the power that the 24+ Honda's have in their small SUV's. More interest in TQ, and the 22 Accord has more (198) than both CR-V and RAV4. Us empty nesters don't need the bigger version (which has decent power). Leaning toward the RAV4 due to power.

It’s kinda sad how gas mileage just hasn’t improved much over time. I had a 1986 Honda CRX Si they got 44 mpg on the highway lol

That seems like a strange comparison. That was a tiny two door. This is a five seater with a big back seat and tons of cargo space. The fact that they get similar mileage does show how much things have improved.

CR-V over the Rav4 IMO but i'm not a fan of the black plastic clad around the wheel wells, that should only be on the cheapest base models, paint on the higher levels..
