Rajasthan 2024: What’s on the mind of women voters in tribal areas?

In Banswara, Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the Congress manifesto talks about taking stock of “the gold of mothers and sisters” and distributing it among “infiltrators”. But the Congress has denied his claims, called his remarks “hate speech”, and added that the party’s manifesto only talks about social justice.
While a war of words ensues, what are the real issues on the ground for women in Rajasthan? Newslaundry spoke to voters in Banswara and Dungarpur.
Without adequate employment opportunities in the region, locals - including thousands of women - are forced to migrate to Gujarat for work. The two districts of Banswara and Dungarpur record some of the highest rates of female workforce participation and female voter turnout in the state.
For a lot of first-time voters, “employment” and “water crisis” were the major issues. Some said NREGA wages should be revised, pointing to price rise and wage disparity.

Really sad that they are earning below minimum wage.. 6k is very less😢 They should atleast be earning 15k. Our govt forgets that our whole country is dependent on these labourers. Ye wo kam karte hai jo koyi middle & rich class karne ko tyar nhi. Anndaata & factory labourers ka itna bura haal hai ki dil dukhta hai. I just pray these people get better opportunities or create their own businesses.. once i will earn good I will definetely contribute something for the labour class by helping them fund their businessess initially.

Recently I saw a video: One guy was saying he did MBA but can only get 20,000 job. But when reporter asked what is the full form of MBA, he said Management Business😅. Again asked: What is for A? He said "A...abe tum logo ko MBA ke bare me pata nahi hai?" This is the reality of our 'educated' youth. They most of the time watch reels, do not study, do not get skilled, even cannot say the full form of their course. But somehow they get the degree from a 3rd class college. I saw many such people in the market. So, Will the Hiring Company give job to such people?

This is not the right way to judge anyone. These people might or might not have voted for BJP. Even if they would have, the question is what did Congress do in their rule? If Congress doesn't bring any change, people will obviously have hopes from BJP. If you have gone through the video, she clearly states that they don't care which party comes to power. She just wants better opportunities and a better society. Isn't that what everyone wishes for?

It does matter which govt whose govt and what govt is all about. If you vote for mandir,Hindu vs Muslim,goons,rapist, criminals and terror accused and sadhus then you have it now because from PM to every BJP workers don't talk about development, employment,education and economy. All you hear is mandir,muslims,70 years of oppositions rule who are already dead long time back and inducting all the rapist,criminals and goons into their party.
