Rajya Sabha: In her maiden speech, TMC MP Sagarika Ghose hit out at the BJP and pointed at press freedom under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "Legacy media is getting suffocated in an airless oxygen-less jail and when media is in jail, how can democracy survive?," said Sagarika Ghose. Sagarika Ghose also slammed the BJP for name calling. "Khan Market Gang? Lutyens Gang? Why This Name Calling of Opposition," said Sagarika Ghose on July 7, 2024.

Sayani Gosh is the most rebel among Bengal MPs. If East Bengal, Present Bangladesh the heart of United Bengal would be a state of India, then Bengal women would lead India. In Bangladesh government and opposition both parties are women led. Bangladesh would get at least 75+ Lok Sabha seats for more than 18 crores of Bengalis. Bangladesh would send more than half rebel women leaders in lok shaba. India would see the real voice of secularism and women power in whole Bengal would be in parliament of India.

I could hear many exhilarating such speeches, this time, that warms the heart and mind, kindles hope of democracy, setting shining examples to the young and youth of this great nation. Many good speeches in both houses, by Mps from Tamilnadu to West Bengal, kerala, manipur, in their own languages, in english, so eloquently, reminding octogenarians like me, fondly reminiscing speakers like, NG Gore,,Nath Pai, Madhu Limaye, vajpayee, Hiren Mukerjee, Bupesh Gupta,jyothirmayee basu,Ramamurthy, Umanath,joshis, ,piloo modi,indrajit gupta, somnath chatterji, Arignar Anna, Subramaniyan swamy,the young turks of Congress, P.C, Manmohan singhji, jaipal reddy, mani sanker iyer, sharad yadav, sitaram yechuri , Brinda karat, Guru das Das gupta and many such... new parliament now resonate with such good speakers again ; democracy is vibrant and heard , so lively. Debates should reflect people's aspirations, as was in age old times. Speak in style and content.

My understanding of India is that we have two key villains - the goons (the devil) and the educated (the deep blue sea). The latter, it is known across the globe, protects its own parochial interest and is not bothered about democracy, nation and the people. Educated people in India hijacked the society by controlling jobs, its money and its narrative. Educated people purposely jettisoned one significant trait - honesty. Shouting at goons and taking Mahatma Gandhi's name does not suffice. Honesty and integrity needs to be practised by the educated section. Otherwise, for the country and the common people, the devil and deep blue sea are the same. No wonder the 2024 results are fractured because people could not make up their mind clearly.

@@travelsahayakJawhar was an accomplished ICS officer and had held several important high profile positions in National & State governments. A thoroughly professional and successful technocrat. He has also written several books on governance and knows thoroughly about the subjects that he speaks. There was also one Upen Biswas (famous for arresting Lalu Yadav) once the Deputy CBI director but he has resigned from TMC.

She made me to remember G M Banatwala, Somnath Chatterjee, Indrajeet Gupta and Atal Bihari Bajpai to name a few. Majority of ruling party members are anywhere near the two madams. These two along with Tharoor will continue to enchant us.
