The crowd is too young, that's why. The Golden Era MC's need to stop coming to these events with these young ass audiences lol. I get that they've been coming to something like Summer Jam faithfully, but that's simply not their crowd anymore.

That weak ass crowd makes this cringy to watch. I’m a mid 90’s baby, but I appreciate classic music. Most people born in my generation or afterwards just don’t know what good music is and it’s sad.

I get the crowd was young and all that, but to not know these legends is absolutely ZERO excuse! I didn’t grow up in my mother and father’s era/generation, but I damn sure know who the OJ’s, Stylistics, Chi-Lites, Delfonics, Temptations, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Issac Hayes, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Smokey Robinson, Elton John, and the list goes on and on. I legit know their music and words. So to me, there wasn’t an excuse. These are hip hop legends!!! Hip hop royalty these kids were able to witness. At the very least, they knew Jada I think mainly cause the versus battle was such a huge success and a classic battle in hip hop history. But, they most likely don’t know the Lox music like that. Smh 🤦🏽♀️ sad 😞.

lol if the chi lite or the delfonics showed up to a 1998 summer jam they’d get booed and more than half the crowd wouldn’t know who they were. No different than today. They didn’t know these old mfs

The trust fund, clout chasing, influencer 'place to be', high ticket buying crowd is so narcissistic, they're probably doing selfies while they're performing and have no attention span. You could have played tik toks and yt shorts and they would show more participation. Damn shame. First thing they should do is ban the phones so they can 'experience' it.

The majority of that crowd is 35 and younger... Of course they don't relate to this era of music... This would be like motown legends playing in a concert in the 90s. The summer jam time for these legends is over and thats OK. I still listen and enjoy their music.
@jumpropexpressions892913 күн бұрын
Are you for real? Motown legends would absolutely kill a concert in the 90’s because people still enjoyed good “Music” in the 90’s. What they listen to today is not “musical”. it’s more of a pre-programmed cadence of bottom bass and treble with uninterpretable lyrics.

Man!, Red and Meth killed it! Next time if the crowd isn't into it, stop the music and hype them up. Make each section compete to see who's louder point a finger at the section you want to scream, now when you hear how hype these mofos get then finish your set and watch these little ninjas say you had the best set! Or listen for the loudest side and perform for them. Don't stop because they don't know your name doit till they cant forget it! Red & Meth, legends baby!

People complaining about the crowd have to understand that, as time passes, and the younger generations come into their own, we have to give them the opportunity to find themselves. Maybe it's time to move to wbls and let the younger generation have hot ......
@peterbadami487213 күн бұрын
Honestly most 90's rappers and fans that complain about the smartphone kids that don't dance at shows or parties raised that generation.
@DRMMUSICA13 күн бұрын

@aligaines847612 күн бұрын
Maybe it's time, since the vultures have ruined it and have no idea, see the audience/line up, to humbly take it back to the parks or make homework a damn requirement. It's more selfies, I was there, my daddy could afford to buy me tickets. Even most of the new artists don't know the background. They don't write letters, call and dump fam pics when they pick up a new phone, no pictures of the family on the wall or even know stories of how their parents met, etc.. It's me, what I want now, throw gran in the home, don't store but throw out all their things and what did I get in the will. I guess it's parents fault, working so hard, no time for the kids, the second crack generation, lack of two parent families, you name it. They can't even put the phones down to experience anything. Sad.
