I’m preparing to relocate to either Raleigh or Charlotte. A lot of ppl say that Raleigh is boring but I enjoy peace, nature and chill vibes🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

From my personal opinion, I would recommend choosing Raleigh over Charlotte. I relocated here from NY a few months ago, and I visited Charlotte for 3 days during my time so far in NC. Raleigh is closer to the ocean, and they are both roughly the same distance to the Smokey Mountains. For a city of its size, I found it surprisingly hard to find things to do in Charlotte besides watching professional sports and Carowinds. Uptown is nice, and I'm more of a big city person myself, but I feel Raleigh has a good amount to offer and is safer and nicer. Raleigh cost of living is also slightly cheaper.

Yes! So, on the higher end of budgets, some neighborhoods or areas you would want to look into are Morrisville, Cary, RTP, Holly Springs, Apex, Wake Forest, or North Hills. More towards the middle budgets, you can check out the West Raleigh area or Knightdale. Southeast Raleigh used to be considered a "hood, " but it's been gentrified so much throughout the years that it's really just the lower income area and isn't nearly as dangerous as it used to be. There are a few hiking spots or trails within the city, and Jordan Lake is the biggest lake around, which is closer Holly Springs, Apex, Morrisville, or RTP. If you get farther out from these areas, it's a lot more rural, but much cheaper housing.

Raleigh is quite an amazing, especially for a mid-sized city. I'm hoping Raleigh will eventually invest in more expansive public transportation, possibly triangle-wide transportatin, especially with how much the area is growing.
